I searched online and found that there is a US Embassy in Toronto, ON but do their services include CR-1 interviews or will I have to travel to Montreal, QC for that? I looked at the Embassy Info link on VJ but noticed only Montreal and Vancouver are listed. Either these are the only two I can go to for my interview or the other US Embassies in Canada are just not listed here.

Also, am I directed to a specific/approved doctor for my exam or can I visit my family doctor?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

I believe Montreal is the only one that can do CR-1's, Montreal and Vancouver both do K-1's. You cannot go to your family doctor for your medical. The Embassy Info above gives you the addresses of the four places you can go for medicals. (I think its still four!) I did mine in Montreal a week before my interview and stayed through the week in Montreal so I could go pick up my results the day before my interview. They were really good at Medisys to make sure I had everything I needed in time. Take care, and good luck.

Yes, Montreal is where you will have your interview - it is the only U.S. consulate in Canada that performs them for CR1/IR1 visa applicants.

You will probably want to have a look at the VJ Canada Wiki page for more info:

Here is a list of panel physicians that can perform the medical, there are only 4 in Canada:
