Hello,

I am new to this, as we all were/are i suppose, but i wanted your input to see if i got this correct. I have the following paperwork prepared:

1. I-129F x 4 copies.

2. G325A x 4 copies for my info, and 4 copies for Fiancee with signed attachments.

3. 1 each Passport style photo of both me and fiancee.

4. Divorce decree from my past endeavor.

5. Copy of my birth certificate.

6. A notarized copy of Letters of Intent from both me and fiancee.

7. $455 Money Order.

Am i forgetting something, or do you see anything wrong? Also, can the copies of the birth cert and divorce decree be copies, and not originals? Don't want to send originals if i do not have to.

Another question i have is in regards to our situation. My fiancee is from the philippines, but lives in Canada. Will this present a delay of any sort? She has easy access to a consulate there, but wanted to ask for sure.

Thanks!

Maybe these things...also you only need 1 copy of the I-129F to send to USCIS...2nd copy you keep, 3rd copy send to fiance and well your 4th copy I guess could be in case of fire. :)

8. Proof of having met in person in past 2 years: hotel receipts, airline tickets/boarding passes or anything else you might have.

9. Proof of ongoing relationship: Pictures, cards & letters, chat logs w/screenshot and cam pictures or anything else you might have.

5. Copy of my birth certificate.

6. A notarized copy of Letters of Intent from both me and fiancee. (I dont think they have to be notarized)

7. $455 Money Order. (or personal check)

1. Dont forget a copy of his birth certificate including translation if not in english.

2. Photo copy everything that your sending or save proof to cd

4. You could make a cover letter showing a list of everything your sending

5. Copies of proof of traveling there to meet him in person, plane, train, bus, hotel, luggage tickets.

6. Chat logs if have any

7. Email logs if have any

8. Phone records if have any

Yeah yeah yeah... I know whats coming next... lol Ongoing proof is NOT a requirement when submitting a K1 visa application. However... To me, give it up front and no doubts or questions, or rfe's will be requested later. But this is a perosn opinion and not necessarily based on all the opinions on vj. Do you have proof that you've met in the past two years? This evidence must also be submitted.

Photocopies of birth certificates and divorce decrees are fine for the petition. Just make sure the birth certificate of a photocopy of a certified copy of the "long form" birth certificate, and the divorce decree is a photocopy of the decree signed by the court clerk.

As long as she's in Canada legally, no problem that I know of interviewing there. She'll need police certificates from every country she's lived in for 6 months or more at the interview, including the Philippines and Canada.

Ok ya i have receipts and plane tickets for proof.

For ongoing stuff. I don't keep chat logs/archives on my computer. Would something like facebook suffice? I received a card from her too, perhaps i should send a copy of it heh.

Yah copy the card and the envelope and send it...facebook probably not gonna be much help.

Make sure to start keeping copies of letters and cards and any chat so you can send some at the interview stage. Also keep your itemized phone bills to send also.

Everything else you have looks fine, and it is just one picture per the instructions with the g325a, the letters of intent are ok if notarized (even though they don't need to be) and you won't need a marriage certificate to go with the divorce decree.

And DO MAKE SURE you make copies of everything for your records in case something gets lost.
