Hello everyone!

I just thought I'd drop in and see how everyone is doing! Hello to all of you I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet!

I was in Morocco for a few weeks in May for my Sister-in-laws wedding. It was a blast, granted I could have gone without the 8 hours of wedding party with only women in the room, but it was still great seeing all of the family together in one building. My husband was so jealous because he didn't get to go, but his family actually asked for me to come in his place! So anyway, my mother-in-law flew back to Philly with me for a visit and then we all went to Florida to visit my sister-in-law and her new hubby. Had a great time with them in Florida.

Since my mother-in-law went back to Morocco, I was in Boston with my husbands cousin for a few days during Ramadan, been working way to many hours, and working on going back to school. This time I actually know what I want to go for! I'm going for International Studies with a focus in international law so I can work for the USCIS! Go figure! Speaking of school, Adil has decided to go back to school again. This time he is going for his CPA. SO now he's going to have like 5 degrees. We still have the restaurant, but we never get up there anymore.

And he decided that he eventually wants to work for the US Government, so we are now filing for his Citizenship. More paperwork and $$$$!!!!!!!

So that's pretty much what's been going on.

How is everyone? I have a lot of catching up to do!

Hope to be on a little more.

Take care!

Janine

Janine! Great to hear from a fellow long time VJ'er! Sounds like you and Adil have your plates full! Glad to hear your doing so well.

Sofyan and I are still going strong. Zaid is almost 18 months old. I work my toosh off and am also back in school. Sof is in the process of getting his cdl and works full time as well!

Pretty cool that you got to visit Morocco without hubby. Probably felt weird getting off the plane there not going to see him right? We havent been back in 4 years. I cant wait to go one day.

Are you on facebook? If so pm me and ill give u my name to add me!

Nice hearing from ya!

Lisa, it's funny you mention it as I often remember you - especially when J. plays his guitar and it reminds me of your hubby's musical talent.

I'd love to drop by for a visit as I've never been to Philadelphia.

J. usually goes with a group of close friends from back home and I hate being the so called "third wheel" (more like the 5th wheel  ) when they get together to reminisce about the good old Moroccan life

Anyway, maybe we can plan a girls day out or something to that effect. :luv:
