As far as I'm concerned it fits in nicely with their sensationalist tabloid reporting style.

Every news channel does it. NBC, ABC, CBS - "Coming up at 11, something in your refridgerator could kill you... we'll tell you at 11..."

Or "coming up at 10.. You may be doing it right now, and it could kill you within seconds... we'll tell you at 10...."

As long as the government doesn't shut 'em down - no harm no foul.

Freedom of speech applies to the President and the White House staff just as much as it belongs to the media.

Nobody is looking to shut them down no matter how much Glenn Beck tries to suggest that. Put them in their place, now that's a different story...

And just the head this off - this isn't a single occurence at Fixed News either. When the scandal over the Republican ex-Congressman Mark Foley broke, he was identified as a Democrat on Fixed News as well...
