OK, Im nearly there with my package, but Im suddenly all confused about some things!!

It was a while ago that I printed all the forms etc. that I needed, and so now I dont really remember where I got my info from. I have printed out and had T fill in an I-130- but now I dont know what that is for and if I even need it?? I came here on a B-1 visa (with no intent to marry!) so maybe its to do with that, and not coming on a K1 or K3?

Hmmm im pretty sure there was something else I needed to know as well, but I dont remember!!:wacko::wacko: oh im all confuzzled

e

NOW i remember! The biometrics thing.....is the $70 fee to go with the G325A? or for the fingerprinting thing.

lauraxmarie,

I-130 is something for your spouse to submit, not you. And he does need to submit it.

The $70 biometrics fee is not associated with G-325A. Not sure what you mean by "the fingerprinting thing" - biometrics does include fingerprinting.

I think you need to check the USCIS web site and read their page on how to become an LPR when one is in the USA.

Thanks Yodrak.

Ok, so he needs to file the I-130. Now from what I have read we send this package separately? and to the California service center as we live in nevada- can anyone confirm that?

But now im wondering, does this I-130 need to be done before I can do the 1-485 for the AOS? Oh man, I thought I had it all figured, now my head is mush! :crying:

You should file I-130 and I-485 (along with I-765 and I-131 if you want) together to the Chicago lockbox. If you look at my signature you'll see this is what I did, and things are fine so far. You don't file directly to California.

BTW - I don't know how you're going to write the cheques, but if you don't have joint bank accounts, make sure the cheque for the I-130 has the USC's name on it.
