so jealous with the vsc october filers - they are getting their noa2s!

happy for them but i could get happier if csc speeds up! ^_^

things have slowed up over on the vermont side too, just one got an approval yesterday, and my timeline went backwards by 14 days or so, the party seems to be over

change that to 19 days behind schedule, it's really moving fast.... in reverse. Keeping an eye on the timeline is really depressing, think it's better to ignore.

I agree completely. Dwelling on the timeline just serves to drive most people up a wall. Better that we all find something to keep our minds off of the fact that we're waiting!

That being said, what do you guys do to keep occupied during this crazy waiting period?

I find that my job is a wonderful distraction! Also, James and I have a nightly routine of Skype chatting when I get home from work, and lately we've taken to watching Japanese dramas together. All of this leaves me very little time to worry, and I feel a bit better :)

I am keeping myself busy for Christmas! Planning, decorating, shopping, presents!

But I still cant stop myself checking the k1 stats. There's one approval for the 19th! Yey!

What do I do to keep occupied?? .... keep checking the VJ web site and the USCIS website every 10 minutes  ! LOL! No just kidding ... there is plenty to keep me occupied (work, Christmas planning, talking to my love, kids, work, kids, oh, and did I mention work and kids?!) and I'm having fun planning a wedding without a set wedding date!

Ugh, I don't have a lot to keep my occupied. I'm a lifeguard at a pool that is empty for most of the day, so I do a lot of reading, but I read a lot of romance novels, so that just makes me sad. We talk everyday on Skype, but by the time I get home from work, he's already had a really long day, and he usually falls asleep while we're talking and then goes to bed. I try not to check the timelines unless there's an update on here cause it just gets me depressed. I'd be planning a wedding, but with no date and no money, it's virtually impossible. I'm uber down right now, and am not really sure how to pick myself up...

Sorry to be such a downer, but life's pretty damn hard right now.

Hey Jessica! Don't worry about being a downer ... I'm sure we all have those days. I've had my fair share, and just to talk with my guy for a few minutes can really turn the day around for me so quickly. We also have a time difference, so when I am up and getting ready for work, he is usually asleep and I have to wake him up OR he has stayed away to say good bye to me (isn't he the best!) ... THEN when I get home from work, he is usually leaving for work so we DO get time together but abbreviated (he works mostly evenings).

Soo... you like romance novels huh? Have you read the Twilight series? I also can recommend some other REALLY good reads, ones that have a bit of romance in them, but enough to keep you entertained and not missing your guy too terribly much with each and every word if you are interested!

HANG IN THERE! Our NOA2's will come in time :)

Yeah talking to him definately does help, but he's so tired all the time. I feel bad for keeping him up, but we talk as much as we can, and that helps. Plus we text message all day via facebook mobile, so that's good too.

I love love love the Twilight series. I have read the whole thing many times. I just went to the midnight showing of New Moon last night, and loved it! I'm always looking for new books! That's basically all I do at work while I'm sitting by the empty pool!

I hope the NOA2s come soon, but I try not to think about it too much...

Don't worry, the time difference hits us pretty hard as well! Even if he is awake enough for a long chat with me, I still feel bad for keeping him up until 4 or 5 in the morning D: He doesn't have a job at the moment, but still! At the very least, I'd like to give him the chance to have a normal sleep schedule.

Speaking of Twilight ... I'm also a bit of a fan of the books! I didn't care very much for the first movie, especially the pitiful acting of Kristen Stewart, but I'll probably be seeing New Moon anyway. Go Edward!

Team Jacob here! LOVE the book series and cannot wait to see New Moon this weekend. Other obligations is the only thing keeping from going to see it RIGHT NOW! :D

I would highly recommend "Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins if you have not read it already (http://www.suzannecollinsbooks.com/the_hunger_games_69765.htm) and how about the Eragon series? The books are much better than the movie :)

btw: I noticed a little movement on the list today

Yes, that made me so happy inside! Who would have thought there would be a mountain of approvals right before Thanksgiving.

Well, happy Thanksgiving, everyone!! I hope it was a relaxing and delicious day for all! I'm going to bed early to perhaps stoke out the Black Friday deals on appliances we can use in our new place once James finally gets his visa, hehe :luv:
