Yay!!! interview date on May 5

Wish me Luck!!!

Good luck Kalay! I hope all goes well for you both! : )

Good luck kalay!

We were approved, no problems (or cosponsorship!) :D

To celebrate, we saw Iron Man 2 at an IMAX theatre - bwuahaha, it was released in Brasil first. And it was AWESOME, and nearly made me late for my plane! I'm in Miami right now, and will update the list tomorrow.

Congrats!

P.S Does anyone know the difference between the Blue piece of paper and the Pink piece of paper they give you after the interview?

Everybody, thank you for the wish.

Thanks K&L, lostinlove, and others for the wish.

Eventually, she got the blue slip. :(

It is because of the passport. The place of the birth is written wrong place (it is wrong state).

They said go to "record place of birth in passport"

They said "you passed the interview, but need to go fix the passport."

So did anybody know did she have to itnerview again?

OR just submit the passport and they will stamp the visa.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Kalay,

Its great she passed the interview. Once, she gets the issue corrected hopefully they will issue the visa. It's tough to know that your at the end and have done everything but still don't have the visa. Hang in there buddy---i'm with you in the same both---seems like we have been on the same boat since the start of this thing. :)

Brazil does not issue papers after the interview. I 100% believe that (at least in Brazil) they know beforehand what the outcome will be and the whole thing is a formality. The COs already had the cards made for everyone who was approved to take down to the courier service, and a piece of paper for the one girl that was denied -- outside of the interview room, with no communication between the interviewer and the CO that passes things out.

Thanks for the info. I think that other Embassies give blue or pink. And, wanted to know what the difference was. If someone could clarify that would be great. Thanks! : )

They said "you passed the interview, but need to go fix the passport."

So did anybody know did she have to itnerview again?

OR just submit the passport and they will stamp the visa.

Ultimately, you will need to double check with the consulate (who should have an email address on the website -- just email them with your NVC case number and whatever question you wanted to know). She might need to go back if they have to pay a courier (instead of providing a mailing envelope). She won't need to go for another interview, but may need to schedule a drop off with them once she has the new passport.

Hi everyone, I just arrived in Tokyo to help accommodate my fiancee to her interview next Monday in Tokyo. A few days for me to double check her DS-156 and birth certificate and organize my I-134 bundle would be our next steps. so far Japan is nice and accommodating as its a national holiday for a few days. I think the Tokyo embassy should be a piece of cake, but I'll still drill her on the test questions a few more times.
