So it has been really nice to read how fast some peoples approval came from the California center. I will be filing there hopefully in April or May. I sure hope it's as speedy as everyone else has been :) Any advice on what is that best way to send, USPS or UPS...any other delivery services that will get it there sooner? does it matter? Thanks everyone!

Hi Guys!

Just dropped by to share the great news - WE GOT APPROVED!!! YAY!!!

The actual interview by the consul took literally 5 minutes! We also requested to pick up the visa instead of having it delivered - we got the call the following day and picked it up yesterday!

I'll post a more detailed review of the interview soon...

Best of luck to those who are about to have their interview!

Thanks to all of you! - for all the support and prayers!

Congratulations, that's excellent news! I'm so happy that you've gotten through to the happy ending of this grueling process. I wish you both the best of luck starting your new life in the US! :)

We're up tomorrow, so hoping all will go well. My fiancee of course is feeling pretty nervous, but we've done everything we can to prepare, so it's all left to fate now.

UPS will rip you off. USPS is the best way to go. I'd just send it regular mail, because starting it sooner doesn't necessarily get you processed any faster. I ended up getting processed almost a month later than most of the other people who filed at the same time I did. The best way to get your petition adjudicated quickly is to make sure you've prepared everything as thoroughly as possible according to the info available on this website. Looks like the CSC is processing faster than before, so you might be lucky enough to get your NOA2 in a little over two months. Good luck!

USPS is better. I went with express for $17, because it's got personal information in it, and the last thing I need is my identity stolen and USPS stays on it like whoa for express, and express requires signatures. That said: Taiwan's absolutely right, there's no chronological order dibs once in the system. It really doesn't matter for the initial petition.

HOWEVER, if you get a request for further evidence (RFE), I do recommend overnighting it - RFEs are time sensitive and even priority isn't guaranteed in the window they give; I've had priority mail take 7-10 days to go 110 miles.

My fiancee's visa interview appointment is in a little over an hour. I'm so nervous I can hardly stand it, and she's even more nervous than I am. We both know everything's probably going to be okay, but it's tough to know that our fate lies in the stroke of a pen! We've already bought plane tickets and everything, so we're both hoping everything goes smoothly, and that we haven't missed anything. Breathe, breathe... :o

@K and L: well, this CFO stuff is another step for all the Filipino who undergo visa application. We need to attend such seminar and get that stamp on our passport coz without that we wont be able to travel to US.

@Taiwanlover: May our good Lord be with you in your interview. I'm sure your interview will be just fine. God Bless!!!:)

VISA APPROVED!!! It's the craziest thing, too, because they said they didn't even need my co-sponsor's financial info because mine was enough. I guess it's because every consulate interprets the rules a little differently. I put my children down as partially dependent on me because they don't live with me and my ex-wife has sole custody, so maybe they didn't count them as household members. Whatever, I'm just super excited!

Thanks for your company everyone, this has been great to be part of this community. Good luck to everyone with an upcoming interview, although I know you'll all have great results! :-)
