I'm hoping kalay will get her NOA2 today or tomorrow & lostinlove will shortly follow. jhay hasn't been around to update, but I'm guessing they probably passed - I don't think I've ever heard of anyone here being denied in Manila without something major issue.

L got some bad news yesterday -- the landlord sold the apartment his family rents and they've 10 days to move. Oy, what a shitty thing to do, their lease isn't up for another six months. Just what he needs to be worrying about with all the immigration crapola we have to finalize (not to mention, taking off work, etc) - he thought they'd be fine where they're at until he was here and couldn't do anything about it.

It's really good that I had been a slacker yesterday, I was going to mail Easter candies (and this really cute card I found on etsy), but it looks like it would've arrived at the wrong apartment now! When everything's settled, I "get" to go and inform USCIS that he's moved, and he'll do the same to the Embassy (so everyone's got the same page).

@Matt & Chie : thank you so much for explaining. It does help us a lot :thumbs: . I checked my account, first touch was on 02/03/2010, 3 days before my fiance received NOA1 by mail. It looks like my case is the last one waiting to approve here, it's my hope we don't have to wait for another 4 months for NOA2. :protest: :protest:

I read your post that you contacted your congressman (great for you)!! On the 5 month mark I called the USCIS and they said go make an info pass--I made the info pass for yesterday. The officer at first stated that our case hasn't even been opened yet. And, I was like yes it has and I started to explain all of the details in then he started lookin more into his computer and goes "i see the last time someone worked on your file was 3/8/10, I'd recommend you just e-mail them and see what they say." However, on the uscis website it doesen't show my case being touched on 3/8. I sent a long email explaing everything yesterday, if I don't hear anything, I'll go to my congressman. My congressman is an an hr and 30 mins away. UGHHH!!!

After all what happened to me, being in an accident, im so happy that all the hard work and preparation pays off.

They will just deliver my visa in my hometown.

Your case is very interesting. I'm curious to know what on earth has put such delays on yours, initiated NVC to call you TWICE nonetheless, and then to hear nothing for basically months? You are a more patient soul than I am, as I would be beating their doors down wanting to know what the frick is going on! Please do keep us updated, and if there is anything we can do, research, moral support, please let us know!

I made an info pass appointment and the earliest day is next Friday. Everything is waiting waiting. Hopefully congressman office give me something that I want before info pass
