Finally! Hopefully, you'll get it this week :D

Thank you for ur encouragement. Hopefully, I'll get it by this week.

And i went to congresswoman office and have a chance to talk with press deputy. And he said he will assign the best case worker to handle my case on tomorrow.

Hopefully, it will work out by some pressure.

Congrats Cecilia! I'm so thankful that you are doing ok after the accident as well! Here's to hoping that you are in the States quickly as well as healing quickly!

Congrats and best wishes to all the others that have either received their NOA2's (finally!), heard info that their cases are moving forward (finally!), have received negative smear tests (and hoping for negative sputum tests as well!), and all the others that are still waiting for whatever reason (hurry up Montreal!).

I've been "out of commission" recently due to a really poor choice for internet services at our new home (HUGHESNET Satellite internet sucks!!!). Waiting for the other to be installed tomorrow, so I am having to read and post from work, and finding time to do that recently has been difficult. My middle daughter, who turns 15 in two weeks, may be having seizures again and between that and John's mom's stroke, we have been swimming in the medical "pool" long enough and are ready to get out.

I would love for a large group of us to be able to go through AOS together as well :) A friendly face during a stressful journey is always a good thing!

I just called DOS and the woman there (Anna) told me that Montreal received (i.e. opened the mail) my fiance's packet 3 on March 1. Yeah! Now the wait for the interview date begins. There is someone who submitted their packet 3 forms on Jan. 18 that still doesn't have an interview date yet for Montreal. I am praying my fiance' gets a date in late May, Early June. I am anticipating getting married on July 11, 2010 and I hope the immigration process works out so that can happen!

Congratulations on getting that pink slip! - And welcome to the awesome Octoberian thread...

My fiancee's interview is next week, March 15 and I will be flying to manila tomorrow night to support her on ther interview... we are both very very excited, but at the same time, a little too anxious whether i have everyting we need in my expandable plastic envelope that i will be hand carrying for 16 hours... oh, did i mention it weighs about 12 lbs?!?! LOL

Sounds like you are well prepared for the interview! I'm more than willing to bet it'll go smooth as silk. I wonder if they'll even thumb through all of those files, ha ha. Certainly better to be prepared than to come up short, though, so you're more than well-covered.

I sent all of my stuff to my fiancee last week. I didn't send nearly as much as you did, but I think I sent enough. Copies of emails, chat logs and pics for the evidence. I'm using a co-signer for the Affidavit of Support, and I'm hoping that is going to be okay. It's a bit nerve-wracking, but we're both optimistic and planning for every contingency! I know, I know, I probable think too much...

Thanks Leolalit and to my fellow octoberians. Next plan? uhmmm.. Gary already booked our flight few days before my interview. He's confident that i will pass..hehe.. Gary will come over here on April 4 and he will go with me to do the CFO stamp since i already did the seminar yesterday at PRISM right after my interview. The seminar starts at 10 am. Just let you fiancee bring a copy of her birth certificate and copy of your birth certificate too coz they asked that from me. Also bring few pictures ( i showed to them the scrap book pictures that i used during my interview and they asked one copy of my pics together with gary). They also asked copy of divorce paper if one of you has been married coz they asked that from the girl who had seminar too.

Gary will be staying in our hometown for a few days, spend time with my family and reassure to my parents that i'm in good hands with him.hehe..Our flight to US will be on the April 11.:dance::dance:

Nothing to worry with the interview as long as your documents are complete. God Bless with your fiancee's interview and bring home the bacon, i mean the pink slip..!!!heheh :)

Hey Chi Na, are you still waiting for your NOA2? You or your fiancé(e) should probably poke the CSC officers -- while it hasn't yeeeeeet been 5 months, you're getting close.

Actually, we were waiting for NOA1. My fiance just received it last weekend. 4 months and 1 week for NOA1. This slow process is driving us crazy. We used the receipt number to check our case online, it shows "Initial Review". It's so weird to me, is there anything wrong here, you think ?

@Matt & Chie : What information do you have to provide when you email to USCIS ?

@all : Is the day the USCIS received your 129F Petition is when they first received by mail ? When I enter the receipt number, it says "on Feb 19 2010 we received this 129F.... ". My fiance said it could not be 19 Feb, since we sent the application in late Octorber 2009 and 19 is the day he called to request USCIS send him NOA1. I wonder what does it say for you guys ? Also when someone says "my case was touched...", what "touched" mean here ? Someone explains please

@Cecilia-gary : Congratulation to both of you.

-10/30/2009 : I-129F sent
-02/19/2010 : NOA1 date
-02/26/2010 : NOA1 hard copy received (USCIS sent out 3 NOA1, never got the first 2)
-04/26/2010 : NOA2 online approval (59 days from 3rd NOA1, 5 months & 26 days from I-129F sent)

That long for a noa1 is absurd - I'd consider getting his congressman involved, because if thats really an noa1 after 4 mo, you're in for another 3-4 yet!

@Matt & Chie : What information do you have to provide when you email to USCIS ?

Chi Na - That's absurd that the delivery man probably dropped in the wrong pile for the past 4 months. Initial Review is where my case sat after NOA1 for 4 months -- it means you are waiting for them to look at it..

What I would do is write an email with your WAC number. What I am thinking is to consider scheduling an infopass if email is not helpful. Give them until the 5 month mark before you let hell loose. That would be about April 2010. It does not matter that it sat in the dark for 4 months before NOA1.. They had it the whole time and use that fact to hold them accountable.

A "touch" mean that your case was updated. When you get an account for the online USCIS, you will enter your case ( WACxxxxxxxxxx) number. Once it shows it, check out the Last Updated column - that date is a "touch". A touch may or may not mean anything important; but it is a sign of activity.
