Hi everyone, We recived our NOA2 January 26 and NVC doesnt have it yet, my fiance contact his congresman so we will see what happen. I have a question how do u know when USCIS send it to NVC? how can u chek that?

I don't think there is a way to check when it left USCIS.

I don't know that there's no reason to track when it left USCIS. You can look at the status and see when it was last updated (which you must be registered for, if you just have the case number, all you get is whether or not it was approved) - every time it's moved from place A to B, it gets scanned, beit from arrival to storage, storage to the adjudicator, and so forth. When I was approved, we were touched on the 15th (the day we were approved) and then we were also touched on the 18th. Given that NVC received it on the 22nd, and it's in NH, it's completely reasonable that it took ~4 days to go from Cali to NH and get to the point within NVC processing that it was assigned a case number.

But that doesn't say if it was actually shipped, just that it was moved.

Then you need to contact USCIS and let them know NVC doesn't have your petition and what needs to happen to move on. Hopefully one of you has a full copy of your petition, otherwise you're going to have to recompile everything.

Hopefully USCIS is able to help you figure out where the petition is.

My fiance' scheduled his medical exam for April 7. I called DOS today. Montreal still hasn't opened our packet 3 yet so I guess I will call again next Friday to see how the process is going. Each day is one day closer to married life together with my love!

You probably already have this link to the moscow interview requirements. We looked at all the documents when I was in Kursk over the holidays just to make sure there weren't any surprises. The Moscow online interview list is offline stating they are having problems with no ETA on when it will be fixed but we will keep checking it.

I waited about a week before calling the NVC and once I got through we got our MOS number and they also asked for Yulia's email address. I think the embassy prefers to communicates via email so you might want to have Sveta's available to give out when you call.

I've started filling out the I-134 but I'm not sure if I need to wait on gathering some documents like paystubs until im closer to the interview date. Or even getting the I-134 notorized so it's closer to the interview date. Just not sure if they will frown upon having documents dated to far ahead of the interview. I took some documents to her already like my previous year tax returns and w2's but i havent received 2009 yet so i havent completed my 2009 taxes yet.

http://moscow.usembassy.gov/fiancee.html

yuliaandray, thanks for this link, I didn't find on my own, and that has Russian translation, so it was a big help. As per the rest... Well, we are progressing, as you see by my signature, not as fast as you, guys, ;) , but still. Our papers successfully reached Moscow emabassy, Packet 3 was sent to Svetlana and even interview date is set already, according to what they wrote me, responding to my email, on February 18-th. The bad thing, though, Svetlana still didn't receive this packet. I understand, Russian post office is no PonyExpress :) , but still, 2,5 weeks for oficial papers to get from Moscow to Ekaterinburg? I start getting concern with it and even wrote them another email four days ago. Still no response, though. I think, I'm going to call them on Monday, maybe they have electronic version of this packet, or can resend it, or something. Other than that, everything seems perfect. I'm nose deep in my job, closing 65-hours weeks, but they paying me overtime, and more money can't hurt right now, so - I don't mind. Svetlana and me arranging all documents needed, I'm looking for better place, we are going to move to... (my one-bedroom is not good place for family :)) So, everything goes perfectly well, just this packet absense worries us. What is about you?

Everybody,

Sorry for long absense - my job ate all my time. 65-hours weeks... that IS exausting! Congratulations for everybody, who got their NOA2s, got interview scheduled, made any progress, during that time. That is great, guys. Our progress is very good too, we even have our interview date scheduled already. But Packet 3, being sent from the Moscow embassy at February 18-th still didn't make it to the my fiancee house... So I'm writing emails and going to start calling this embassy to find out what can be done about it. Promise not to disappear for so long anymore. :)

Finally got the email notification today ( March 5).. although the USCIS status said my NOA2 was yesterday.

So after 133 days, I can stop holding my breath  thanks VJ. :star:

I think sending the USCIS CSC gentle nudge emails may have helped.

Here is an email I received yesterday from one of the officers :

Sorry for the confusion. USCIS electronic records indicate that your application/petition was filed on October 22, 2009 and is not currently within our processing time. We are currently processing cases filed five months in which they are received. March 22, 1020 will be your five months and the status of your case may be obtained online at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do.

Thank you,

Officer Chito Agorrilla

Despite his typos, I regarded Chito's email as just another form letter slapped together to respond to the thousands of backpiled entries..

I had written them a month prior, which resulted in a touch to my status only. The lesson learned is that we have to give the USCIS a firm, but polite nudge once in a while. I think for petitioners who get left in the dust, we need to be proactive and put heat on these adjudicators..

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone is well. I am so very happy for everyone that has received a response and is moving fwd in their journey. I must admit that it has been very hard for me---waiting and waiting some more. The good news is I'll be going to Kenya in a few weeks (very excited!!)

The questions is....our petition will reach 5 months this Tuesday 3/9. I plan to e-mail CSC and of course call the none helpful 1-800 #. The CSC takes about 4-5days to respond---so my question to you all is---should I also contact my congressman on Tuesday or wait till I hear from CSC via e-mail? What is your take on it? Someone asked for their e-mail address here it is (csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov). They do respond!!! Alright, guys please let me know.

Thanks in advance. And, again big congrats to all who are moving fwd in the case.

My fiancee's interview is next week, March 15 and I will be flying to manila tomorrow night to support her on ther interview... we are both very very excited, but at the same time, a little too anxious whether i have everyting we need in my expandable plastic envelope that i will be hand carrying for 16 hours... oh, did i mention it weighs about 12 lbs?!?! LOL

Here's what I have, and i hope somebody can tell me whether i have everything...

Folder 1

Folder 2

- Affidavit of support

- Year-to-date paystubs

Folder 3

Folder 4

- Letter of intent to marry

Folder 5

- Original copies of proof of having met in person as submitted in the I-129F packet (boarding passes, receipts, etc)

Folder 6

- AT&T statements (Oct 09 - Feb 10) with highlighted lines on calls going to and coming from Clarice's magicjack

- MagicJack account print screen showing Clarice's name and assigned telephone number

- Owtel Long Distance statements

- G3 Telecom statements

Folder 7

- About 20 photos of us together as submitted on the I-129F packet

- 2 SmileBox scrapbooks created by Clarice

Folder 9

- Emails (not a lot of this)

Folder 10 - with Clarice

- Birth Certificate

- CENOMAR

- NBI Clearance (Police Clearence)

Folder 11 - with Clarice

- DS-156

- DS-157

well, having listed what i have, i think i'm good to go... but i guess it'll give me a little more confidence and assurance if another set of eyes could check...

  • Caveman Robot (Philippines - 13 Jan): 11 March [possibly delayed for medical :(]
  • Macaroni (Guatemala - 7 Jan): 11 March

Thanks, K and L for updating this. How exciting to see interviews this Wednesday and Thursday! May lots of approvals be seen after these interviews and may the "possible delays" not delay progress.
