October 2009 K-1 Visa filers

hi all..me and my fiance also file k1 visa october 2009...i already receive the letter from USEM that appkication was approved..all i have to do now is go for medical next week...i having problem trying to call the Visa Information Center cause only postpaid can contact there 1909 number...i was hoping to call for schedule of interview..fiance is visiting this february and kinda hoping we can fly back together already if visa will be approved...

me too.... i am having similar case as urs.....

Our case was touched on 1/6 and then nothing......

I'm so worried and seeing people are approving left & right but not me... :(

Congrats to everybody, who got NOA2 this week! Sorry, I didn't follow the thread this week and didn't respond at time - my job is complete mess right now and I'm working 12 hours days. The note of warning to everybody, who is going to call to NVC, though. The number is still same: 603-334-0700, but keys combination has changed due to Haiti's issue. Now it's 2-1-5. By the way, I called today at 9 am, got through from the first attempt, spent 7.5 minutes on the call, total. So, maybe it's just morning and low call volume, or it got much easier because they have separated Haiti's calls. At any rate, best of luck to everybody. Back to job.

I push 2, then 1, then 5, hear nothing for about 15 seconds, then it sends me back to the "You have reached the National Visa Center" message you hear at the very beginning...It is VERY tempting to push 1 (Haiti), but I know better.... ok, so I push 2 again for non-Haiti related issues, then quiet for 5 seconds, then "This service is available 24 hours a day .... blah blah blah", push 5 again, and "I'm sorry for the delay, our operators are assisting other callers, please try again... blah!!!" and over and over and over again! Anyone have any tricks?

OMG! Never mind ... I kept trying, somewhere along the lines I accidentally pushed a 3, and IMMEDIATELY there was someone on the line! Woot!! Got our case number, they received our packet on 1/27/10 and sent it to Vancouver TODAY!! YAY!!!

Press 3 right away and you'll get an operator. Too bad my phone died (from calling the NVC too much, no less!) as I was confirming his email address and didn't get an update of my status AND my other phone was nowhere to be found

Well, what the heck ... if I had known to press 3 right away, I would have done that the first time .. 3 days ago!!

I didn't know that until you said something about pressing 3 at some point. I experimented to find out where you pressed 3. If you go 2-1-3, you get a prerecorded message and have to re-call. If you go 2-3, it tells you that it doesn't understand what you're trying to do. If you just go 3, you get the operator.
