Anyway my fellow octoberians, do we need to wait for the NVC letter from the mail before we call the NVC?

My fiance said, that he will just wait for the NVC letter or give 2-3 weeks before calling the NVC..

JANUARY 13,2010 - Received NOA2/approval (email)

JANUARY 19,2010 - Received hard copy of NOA2

JANUARY 25,2010 - Received NVC letter through mail

FEBRUARY 9-10, 2010 - passed the medical exam

MARCH 10, 2010 - passed the Interview and attended the seminar at PRISM

MARCH 18, 2010 - Received visa packet through air21

APRIL 10, 2010 - POE SFO Airport

Praise God for answering our prayers!!!

JUNE 12,2010 - wedding (@lake tahoe)

JUNe 14-24, 20210 honeymoon in hawaii

AOS JOURNEY

JULY 20,2010- submitted aos application to chicago via UPS

JULY 26,2010- received the aos packet by USCIS

AUGUST 2,2010 notice date/noa 1 appeared on the letter

AUGUST 11,2010 received mail for biometrics appointment

SEPT 01,2010 - biometrics appointment

SEPT 22,2010 - received letter for my interview on Nov. 17

SEPT 24, 2010 - received my EAD card

NOV 17, 2010 - interview

cecilia-gary, you can wait, and may want to wait until at least you have your hard copy of the NOA2 (because my petition didn't get to Vermont much faster than the NOA2 got to my mailbox). You just need to call 603-334-0700, then press 1 for English and press 5 for a human (because the K-1's aren't put in the automatic response system for some reason) and have your case # from your receipt letter, the beneficiary's name and birthdate and your name and birthdate and they will give you NVC case number. You can ask when they expect to send it to the embassy and with that information it is possible to use dhl.com to "guess" what shipment it was in.

Good luck! Someone said the phone had been super busy and they couldn't get through on the phone number I listed above.

Hey guys!

Im in Guatemala right now and will go back on February 8th. I called the NVC yesterday and found out that my case was sent to Guate on the 14th! WOW. I already emailed the USEM here and am waiting for a response. I want them to e-mail the packet because mail here is unreliable.

Lilacvioletiris- I think number 2, along with the asylum petitions, includes the fiance(e) petitions. Atleast thats the number I pressed.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BETH AND JOHN! I'm really excited that you guys got your NOA2.

I was just SURE that our NOA2 wasn't going to come and I would have to start fighting with the USCIS at the 5 month mark. What a relief and such excitement. Now on to those next stages, and more waiting, but for some reason it seems like it will be easier now?! I hope!

Still rooting for Kizza over at the September CSC filers to get her NOA2 and all of you here that haven't received yours yet! Come on CSC! Keep up going!

Incidentally: I never did get the txt notification, just the email!

I think I'm going to call the NVC next Tuesday for the case number. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll already be on the way to Rio by then!

Unrelated, I really hope I'm late because of the stress of the immigration process, we didn't want to spawn until a few years after the wedding!

Lilacvioletiris-You should definitely call NVC again because when I referenced my case on dhl.com, there was a Montreal, Canada destination :D It just might be yours.
