I can't wait to call the National Visa Center this morning. I hope they have our petition since we got our hard copy NOA2 on Friday and that it is ready to be forwarded to Montreal. Yesterday, I bought the material to make my wedding dress. I have a friend sewing it for me. I keep praying Montreal will have an interview for my fiance' by June with their 4-6 month wait.

Wow. Last week of waiting is a real torture. Timeline says January 14-28, calendar says January 19th and stats says at least 50% of October applicants are approved already... I know, if everything is going to be OK we should receive our NOA2 this week. But this "if"... and this last days of waiting... I almost completely lost my job concentration and keep checking egov.uscis.gov 3 times during the day :) I simply do not want to imagine what I'm going to feel, if it won't any news real soon... Oh.

Service Center : California Service Center

Consulate : Moscow, Russia

My petition arrived at the NVC on Thursday, Jan. 14. I called the NVC this morning and it was in their system but wasn't finished completely. I will call again on Thursday to see when it gets DHLed out to Montreal.

I can't figure out why the automated NVC line is often (like now) busy. Come on, it's automated! I've been calling 650-903-0800

The national visa center number I have called is 603-334-0700 and because it is a K-1 you need to press 1 and 5 to get a human to talk to because for some reason they don't put the K-1's into the automated systerm. This morning I waited for about 5 minutes before I got a human to talk to and she was really nice and gave me the information I needed. Yeah! Now I have my MTL number!

Yeah, that's the number i've been calling (typo before), and they're always busy. :-/ Guess I'll keep trying. Thanks for telling me K1's aren't in their system!

I can't understand why they aren't in the automated system. Glad to help and good luck on hold. It actually told me to call back between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. or so. but since I was calling at 8:07 a.m. I just stayed on hold. I can't wait to hear when my package is on its way to Montreal! The lady asked for my fiance's email address, I am figuring so the consulate can send the packet 3 via email to my fiance'. I can hardly wait!

Last person to get a NOA2 ... Boris and Ana Date sent: 2009-10-26 First NOA: 2009-11-02 RFE's: I-797 NOA2: 2010-01-19

I would love to talk to this person if they are around. What is the I-797 "date" mean in the RFE line ... cuz that's just the number they put on RFE's (I googled it to double check). So did they get an RFE? and when if so? :)
