And it seems like things have slowed down. Yesterday my timeline was Jan. 11 to Jan. 17. Now it is Jan. 13 to Jan. 23. I am sure hoping it will be closer to Jan. 13 because with the long wait for an interview at the Montreal Consulate (right now it seems to be about 4 months) and I really want to have my wedding on July 11, 2010 because all the important people can come then. Ugh. Please CSC process as quickly as you can! I want to marry my man!

hey guys I filed in october as well I know I'm coming in way late....I was just wondering how your processing times were...I filed at CSC.

I am hoping this month I will get an NOA2....or SOME news. online it says nothing has been touched since oct 15th. I've heard that the online database isn't updated very often though...I don't know. but I'm excited to see others in the same position good luck!

No news yet for most of us. I think 2 people so far from October have been approved according to Igor's list. We all want to see those NOA2's in our hands (even if it is only the email version at first). I want to be able to get through the NVC and then it will be the long wait for an interview in Montreal for my fiance'. Go CSC Go!

I've been sitting on pins and needles, myself. I have no real reason to doubt the outcome of the petition, but it's discomforting to think that a few government bureaucrats have so much control over the fate of your marriage. It's as if we're all guilty until proven innocent, which is backwards. But I don't think pointing out the insanity of this process is saying anything new to anyone. I wish I could say I believed there was a benefit to it, but I don't believe there is, and I haven't been able to find a shred of research to either validate or invalidate it.

It's been nearly five months since I've been away from my sweetheart, and probably looking at another three to four months. I'm sure glad we only have to go through this process once. But I'd like to see a lobby to abolish this ridiculous process...any takers?

Just to toss a little of what I saw last month out there for you guys:

Once we (Sept. CSC filers) started seeing a few approvals, there seemed to be a pause but then an avalanche of approvals shortly after the pause.

What I think happens, if you've looked at the "trends and volume" page on the USCIS website you'll see "approved but not at maturity" or some such wording. I think a lot of the applications are already approved and waiting for a stamp and processing to get them out the door. I'm not sure, but they seem to clean up older petitions for a while when transitioning months. I noticed it when the August filers started getting approved, then when the September filers started getting approved. There's a few approvals, then a long pause (but a few RFEs and older files approved), then a LOT of approvals within a couple of weeks.

Hopefully it's soon.

Good luck and best wishes of no RFEs.

I think this is a rather insightful description of what's going on now. It seems like they are cleaning up a lot of older applications all of the sudden - the July, August, and September filers. Maybe this is just what will happen before our October "avalanche?"

This sort of trend has got me going back to my inbox again and again just to prove the NOA2 email really is there (it is). But I really am confident that we, like the September filers before us, are going to get a whole mound of approvals really soon.

But I agree, it really is hard to hold on that hope, and the whole process seems pretty unfair, that's for sure.

I hope the trend of cleanup first then approve the next months worth of petitions is true to form. It seemed like what was it Dec. 17 or so and all of a sudden a mountain of approvals poured out of CSC. I had just left for vacation to Canada to see my fiance' and when I next checked Igor's list it was completely covered with people that weren't there a couple of days before. I am praying that happens with us October filers too. I would love a NOA2 for Martin Luther King Day :)

Thanks Dain! That was sure nice of you to direct us to the trends and volumes page. I can't see exactly what you are referring to, however I was able to see the National Processing graphs. Nothing about "approved but not at maturity" or something like that. You wouldn't happen to have a link would you?

Good luck to you and Vicky on a successful interview coming up here very quickly! Will be looking forward to seeing that "Visa in Hand" post from you guys! :)

I'm sorry, I was quite off on my memory of the wording. When you open the trends and volumes page, you'll see the legends for the graph on the left side of the graph (google USCIS trends and volumes to find the page directly). From bottom to top is receipts, completions, awaiting customer data (RFEs), "pending but unripe, adjutication deferred", and "pre-adjudicated, awaiting visa number", and "all other pending"

As you probably all figured out by now adjudication is NOA2.

I remember being in the "nothing is happening!!" time freeze zone that you are in now. I actually made a post in the Sept. CSC filings that if we weren't approved by March I'm just moving there, because I'm like you all are now, frustrated that nothing is seemingly happening and going out of my mind waiting. 1-2 weeks later there's approval after approval after approval in our thread.

Just give it a LITTLE more time, you're almost there!!

And DON'T take out your frustration on your fiance! You are both frustrated beyond belief by this time and probably starting to squabble, don't do it. You're almost done, just be patient for a short time and you'll see a LOT of approvals falling from the sky.
