No touch for us. From what I have read, it seems like a lot of people don't get touches until their NOA2, so maybe it's a good thing that we haven't been touched

I agree that we probably won't be seeing any action from CSC until Monday, at least.

My fiance had a job interview last Thursday that went really, really well, so now we are thinking we might actually try and slow down our visa process where we can if he gets the job so he can work a little longer!

Our naturalization timeline
1/12/2015 - Application sent to Phoenix service center by USPS priority mail

1/14/2015 - Package received in Phoenix

1/16/2015 - NOA date (hard copy received 1/22)

1/20/2015 - Check cashed

2/09/2015 - Biometrics

2/11/2015 - In line for interview

3/28/2015 - Hard copy interview notice received

4/29/2015 - Interview at Chicago field office - Approved!!!

5/22/2015 - Oath ceremony - Now a US citizen!!!!!!

Thank you, VisaJourney!!!!!

No touch for us either :(

I put this in the September '09 CSC K-1 filers thread ... but wanted to share with you guys as well :)

Anxiously awaiting for (you guys - meaning the Sept CSC folk) to get your NOA2's :) good news for you guys means that they will be moving on to the October filers! (yep, ulterior motives!).

I was looking at the stats (located here: Stats Page ) and am very sad to see the amount of NOA2's has dropped SO dramatically in the past month. I know that it all hinges upon people updating their timelines, however it does still appear that processing is slowing. drat! :(

My fiance had a job interview last Thursday that went really, really well, so now we are thinking we might actually try and slow down our visa process where we can if he gets the job so he can work a little longer!

If I'm not mistaken, he also has 6 months to enter the US once your K-1 is approved and he has the Visa in hand ... hopefully that will help a little. I understand all too well the money crunch. John is working his butt off so we can whittle the bills down as much as possible before the inevitable dry spell waiting for his EAD :D

When you log in to the USCIS website, if you have created an account that is (highly recommended so you can get email and/or text notifications if there is any action on your case), it is on the page My Case Status then it will take you to another page called "My Portfolio". From that page, you will see all the cases that you added to your portfolio (if you haven't done so, do it :) ) , you will see the date your case was last updated.

I hope that helps and wasn't terribly confusing!

Mine was touched on 10/30/09 ... probably being moved to someone elses desk ;)

Where do you see that it's touched in there? On the 'portfolio' screen, I see the last updated date was 10/29 (my NOA1 was for 10/27), but when I click on the number to get the case status, it just says 'initial review'. But I think that may have been the day I signed up to get notifications... xD

If you're not a twitter subscriber: For those of you at the CSC for I-129F's they are now processing petitions at roughly Sept 3rd. The VSC is now speeding up at Oct 10th.

VSC is sooooo much further ahead than us :(

I see the last updated date was 10/29

That's the date that your case was last "touched" ... which basically means that someone scanned it or entered your case number to do something with it (i.e. move it from one desk to another pile).

:( I don't get that to be honest .... does the VSC have THAT many more employees or what? ::sigh::

I'm late sounding off in this group - but hello fellow October 2009 filers. I'm a US citizen, my fiancee is a UK citizen and currently visiting me on the visa waiver progamme. When he goes back to the UK, he's going to stay there until the interview rather than make another visit to the States. I read too many scary stories about people getting turned away for a visit. Also, I wasn't able to determine if you get to pick your interview day or not, but if you don't then his being in the UK will mean we won't need an expensive last-minute flight.

Our NOA1 was sent from CSC on October 13, so like you are waiting for now.

Welcome to the thread!

I'm also the US citizen in our US/UK pairing. We're planning another visit during visa processing time, but I'm going to go over to the UK. I've heard a few stories about being stopped at either the US or the UK border, too. But I've also heard you can prevent that as long as you have sufficient proof of your intent to return to your home country!

In regards to the interview date, you don't get to pick it, but some people over in the UK region forum have reported being able to influence their interview date by letting the consulate know they have a specific wedding date. It seems like the consulate tries to consider the wedding date when scheduling interviews :)

 Go go go CSC!!!!

Thanks for the help, Leenie! I'm actually visiting him in the UK also, from mid-December to mid-January, so we will have plenty of time together. Also, we've been a long-distance couple for four and a half years, so really the visa wait doesn't seem like as big a deal to us.

Thanks for letting us know about the interview. Even if you can influence it within a few weeks, however, a last-minute trans-continental flight is a bit out of our budget. Plus my fiancee is better able to secure work in the UK than here. So, we'll see each other again when he's got that visa.
