We finally got our interview date thru email...Nov 17. The actual appointment letter has not arrived yet. I have a question regarding ds230....

it does not ask for part II....but i read somewhere that part II has to be submitted without signature....Here is the quote from actual package 4...

DS-230 Part I (single copy): Please note that for item 13, provide the address and phone number(s) where you are

actually residing, not addresses once used for household registration

I can't remember but I believe part II you do have to submit it and when the beneficiary is sworn in they sign that paper after wards. You fill everything out except don't sign the last page on the bottom part of the page and submit it at the time of interview...

The instructions are also on the form:

As for Question #13:

9 times out of 10, the Address and Phone WILL match the Household Registration. Sometimes there are instances where the fiance is not living in the house.

Just put the address where your fiance currently lives.

Correct, fill out the address where the beneficiary currently resides, not the one in Ho Khau.

Also, part II of the DS230 is not needed at the interview. I filled it out for Hang and they gave it back.

Part II is not in the list of docs and is not required. I did not even fill it out since it was not a requested item. We had no issues at the consulate. They are looking for EXACTLY what is on the list in the order they specify.

Will there be any problems if the items are attached with ACCO fasteners in the specific order from Pkt 4 when they are submitted at the window? Will they require that they be seperated and submitted individually?

Has anyone submitted the documents attached together?

Scott, it should not be an issue if you attached them as long as it is in order and fit the slot at the window. Break it into smaller packages if you feel it it too thick, but keep them in order when submit.

Everybody gets the same directions for P4 so I have everything assembled already. The thickest is less than 1 inch.

Scott, the lady that reviews the docs will take the package apart and review the items for completeness. Anything that does not belong will be returned immediately. Remember that you will have originals and copies in this package. I assembled them in order and held the stack together with a big metal binder clip. My wife handed the stack to the lady and she was able to pop the clip off and go through them very quickly. If you Acco them, she may not be happy.

What you can Acco is your evidence. I did with mine since there was a lot (although they never looked at it).
