I joined VisaJourney about a year ago and I am very thankful to VJ because it helped us very much with my visa journey.

The reason I am posting this, it is because I just want to express how I feel about those VJers that all they’ve been doing are making fun, posting replies that irrelevant to the original posts, or giving insensitive comments to the OP or those who replied. I can say that Philippine forum in particular is not as good as before. I am very disappointed because it has been going on like this almost everyday already. I myself, is very discouraged to posts my queries anymore because I know someone will make fun out of it too regardless of the topic. I just wish that this will be stopped. I wish that if someone posts something that will be useful to those who are new in this journey , no one will ruin the discussion.

To those who understand me, thank you but to those who will not agree…well, good luck and God bless. Peace again.

just dont vent coz you cant really pleased everybody...theres always people who will ruin some post and theres nothing you can do to stop it. just dont take things seriously coz this is just a forum though it is helpful but why waste time of getting disappointed to people that you dont know.

:thumbs::whistle: yeah correct too....

I agree. Anyone could readily distinguish a comment meant to be an aid, brings the OP's situation to a calming relaxed state or just to bully others. There are potential trolls lurking around and just cant resist but to ruin the helping purpose of each forum. If such comment from a VJer is perceive to be mean ,has gone beyond personal boundaries, and persistent; then you stand tall, and speak up. Let them know that it isnt doing any good nor contributing. That you need pieces of good advice and not mainly to be criticized.

Its good to kid around. It makes the discussion light and soothing.Yet ,it takes proper timing, kind words and gentle heart to throw a jest in good faith. Go go go NutCrackers! :jest::P

Maybe make it a point to hit the !REPORT button when a post that is inappropriate? :reading:

Maybe the mods or Capt will do something about the individual(s)? :clock:

Maybe this isn't a "family based immigration" regional sub-forum; maybe its a pimp-n-ho, lie, insult, be rude forum? :protest:

Maybe there are things I think but do not say because it is not helpful or maybe it is really because Iris forbids me! :crying:

Ahh shucks man, no argument here... ;) That woman looks like my child support case worker! One can live life cussing, raising heck, provoking others, and thriving on conflict... One can choose to move onward. Well, itzallgood, how's your lady doing anyways? You like girls right?

This exchange between Norman and itzallgood is a prime example of how things be conducted in these boards. No ill will, no rancor, no venting, just go along with the ride. Wit, humor and sarcasm are fine ingredients and if you don't use them, you lose a lot of flavor in life.

To be honest I originally joined a year ago.....I canceled that account because I was asking help with a previous relationship that I was concerned about....I was getting beaten up so bad I left VJ till I met my love now!!!! I always wanted to thank the honest people for helping me now......but I was being called a troll and people were asking mods in their post to remove me.......I do think it is funny because some of the people that were being mean to me before are being very nice to me now!!!!....but that is how life is I guess.....

what would I do without the love you give me.

I agree with this.

People know who is helpful and who just makes jokes.

Use the PM process to ask questions from those who are helpful and just forget the rest.

This is public forum and everybody can freely share their insights or at least put their ideas. Not everybody could understand the way others do, that is why whatever reply from any postings are subject to the perceptions of VJ people.

There are lots of people like that, not only here in visajourney, but in real life. Try to learn how to ignore the non-sense and be thankful for those with good thoughts.

You can always give comments to what they call here "idiots" & "moron".

I joined last year. I don't just look at the dot in one piece of paper. I appreciate more the wide white portion of the paper. I gained friends from here and hopefully will still gain.

It wasn't that long ago that the moderators were complaining about the Phil forum. For the two plus years I have been on VJ the Philippine forum has changed a lot. I think it will constantly change as only a few posters remain after their visa process has ended.

A little joking is good to lighten up the mood as the visa journey is very stressing for many. Some posts do violate the Terms of Service agreed to when joining VJ. Some posts are crude attempts at humor and others seem to be outright personal attacks. As previously mentioned, this is happens in real life too.

The PM idea is good for personal situations. But the two drawsbacks I see are that the majority of readers cannot learn from reading PMs because only two people see them and we need larger PM boxes.

Another drawback is that bad advice may be given and no one is there to correct it.
