I see a report that says anything that doesn't toe the Socialist line is attacked. Of course it was gonna cost us more as we are now going to be paying for others that we didn't have to before. We already do that by paying higher premiums every year to subsidize the low cost that the government pays to reimburse medical providers now. We also pay more than we should by having to pay for indigents that hospitals treat that they have to by law. So now we will be paying for people that could get insurance but don't for a myriad of reasons. We pay a lot fro health care in this country and now we will pay even more.

Also our insurance is going to go up when they mandate that insurers have to accept anyone with preexisting conditions. These people are gonna be expensive when they come in and since they can't charge them more at the outset then their larger costs will be passed along to the other people in the program. Of course they will mandate that everyone will have to get health care so many people will be coming in to plans where there may have been stability before and that will mean that those in the existing plan will now be paying more.

As the prices rise the sheep will be bleating for the Feds to save us all again so they will start a government plan at an artificially low price and people will jump out to that plan and leave those companies to raise prices and so on. The yearly costs will be shown to be more than they expected and then have to raise premiums and taxes to pay for it. Of course as we have seen all these years of the Feds they can leave nothing alone and yearly you will have groups advocate new things that need to be covered. Since these groups have money they will get the ear of the politicians and they will make bogus ads that seem this is something that is a need that is life threatening. So yearly we will have debates in the houses of government and get more ####### added and thus a larger bureaucracy. Since it will now be centralized in Washington it will be become very insular and easy to ignore what is going on in the real world at large.

Many know that the government is more of a detriment than a help to us but the koolaid drinking sheep will follow their Socialist leaders right off the cliff happily in ignorance.

I still remembered the time in chemistry class when the professor said, "dihydrogen monoxide is very dangerous to the environment - all hazardous wastes contains them - they are by-products of chemical reactions - they cause many runoffs that can off-root trees, and cause hurricanes and natural disasters"

She asked the class, how many of you don't support dihydrogen monoxide. Everyone rose their hands. I was the only one who didn't. She gave me an A+ for the class.

Seems you went a pretty low grade college and your classmates were pretty stupid then. By the time one gets to that level of education they should have known what the professor was talking about.

I love sheep! :luv: :luv:

I'm ok with kool aid too, especially grape flavor. And cherry - don't forget the cherry kool aid!

I'm happy AHIP issued this report as this is the strongest argument yet for the inclusion of a strong public option in the final reform bill. What a way to shoot themselves in the foot. Here, the insurance industry has just made it official that they are unable (or maybe rather unwilling?) to contain health insurance cost. Effective not-for-profit competition will change that attitude rather quickly. The companies owe as much to their stakeholders.

Let's not forget that AHIP is the organization that was kind enough to provide those helful and constructive "talking points" for the August recess meetings that the Representatives and Senators held on health care reform. Clearly, AHIP only has the best for America in mind.
