Im so pissed, so this is my vent I guess you could say.....I call Vermont AGAIN... To inquire of my case that has been sitting for 4 months as of today still at noa1 (as most of you know), Im being the charming person that I am trying to get as much info as I can on my case and this woman asks me if i have called in the past 30 days and I say yes I have, she then tells me DONT CALL HERE FOR ANOTHER 30 DAYS, I said HELLO Dont take that tone with me lady, she then says well just be happy that your not filing for the 1-130 or something like that cuz we are packing loads of them up and sending them to another service center and those people are going to be waiting for ages, I then say well I hadent filed for the I-130 I filed for the I-129f so that means nothing to me...I throw in a few words as to its been 4 months and I know of others that have sent the I-129f in through Vermont in April, May and June and yet they have been approved again she says, We will get to you when we can dont call us for 30 days very firm!!!!!! At this point I told her to Eat My Fu*k and hung up.

So now she prolly is pissing on my I-129f :angry::angry::angry::angry:

So now im on a quest to report this woman problem is I forgot her name... If she was just doing her job and saying to me in a calm manor her words it would have not been so bad, but this ###### took a really really mean and rude tone with me.... Ok im done ranting for now

I know you are venting, but this is what I think you should do.

Call back and when they ask you if it has been 30 days since you last called, say no !!! :P

You also probably know this, but you are never talking directly with anyone at Vermont Service Center. The customer service line is someplace else and that person can have no effect on your petition. All they can do is look it up on the computer the same as you. The only thing that they can do that may be helpful for you is request an investigation, as far as I know. You are past the processing dates (I think) so you have a case.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your troubles and good luck getting answers in the future.

You are done ranting but the woman has not done with you yet. Do you know that these Govt. calls are recorded? When you call a Govt. line, even though those employees are a real a$$ you have to becareful not to lose your cool. I can almost guarantee you that this woman will see that your case will have more lights shed on it than usual. I suggest you call your congress man and let him/her know what just happened and save yourself some delays. These govt. workers are experts when it comes to frustrating customers.

I can understand you frustration, I called them also today (my NOA1 is March 8) and as usually got nothing besides that my case was given to officer last Thursday and will be looked at in the next 30-60 days(even so last Tuesday they told it was already with the officer). I was trying to get them to tell me how come they approving people from May/June and my case is still collecting dust, but all I got is that she can not explaine to me that. It is so said what is going on there and it breaks my heart that I can not do anything :( . I don't even know what to tell my fiancee anymore, on why there is such a delay with our case. For the last 3 weeks I wake with only one hope that that day will be finally the one I get my approval.

Come on now. Why would you say something like that to Kelle when she's already upset by this woman's behavior? Do you have any proof that this woman, in a call center not located in the same place where petitions are processed, has the power to do something to affect her petition? I didn't think so.

why should she be the one to worry? The woman who screamed at her should be the one to worry if that was the case

Exactly - if anyone gives a ###### that calls are recorded, this woman is the one who needs to be worried about her behavior.

Kelle, it would not hurt for you to contact your senator or congressman to get some help. Best way to do that is download the privacy form from their website, fill out your case information and your questions, fax it in, and call to follow up. In the meantime, don't waste any time worrying about what impact a call center employee can have on your petition. Not worth it.

Good luck.

I think I would have told her to F*#$@ too!

And this:

she then says well just be happy that your not filing for the 1-130 or something like that cuz we are packing loads of them up and sending them to another service center and those people are going to be waiting for ages

is crazy. Not only is it incredibly BAD customer service, but... Now they are sending the I-130s to CSC too?? Why send them somewhere where they know they will be waiting for ages? Where is the logic to this?

I called the Vermont Service Center Call Center as well today --- I likely got the same person --- her name was Mary and she said she was the only one there today --- so likely you spoke with Mary as well. She did her best to emphasize the "do not call again for another 30 days" --- although when I called prior times no one said that so, I will continue to call maybe daily if not weekly --- because that is what I DO --- I found her to be as helpful as anyone so far --- but, all you know that does not mean much ---

Mary said that some folks will have unusually long delays in the security check process due to thier name being common and that was exactly what happened to our case ---they thought it was through the security check process and a name match came up with some further investigation needing to be done to be sure that my husband was who he said he was. I also asked her about why the website and the recorded response says, "These Cases are Taking between 30 to 90 days to process" she said that that message applies to when the case will actually go into the security check process. So, your case can sit up to 90 days depending upon the caseload and the length of time the cases prior to it are taking ---

So, all in all she gave me much more information than anyone had so far and if I lump all the calls together much of the information I have been given kinda ties together other than the one guy that just said our case is pending and could take anywhere from 2 weeks to Years --- Now that made my day --- NOT - But I dont put too much energy into my responses back to them other than to not loose my cool and to take what I get and add whatever hope I can for the moment --- What can I say, it makes my day better regardless of what reality actually is---

Hang in there :clock:

If I were you and I lost my cool, I would call back and ask for Mary and appologize, that is recorded as well. She will likely be more willing to not let her opinion affect your case if you do that --- I am sure she gets tons of people at thier witts end and unless she is completely heartless, she should understand and not take it personally and place some black mark on your case.

Oh my - just my 2 cents - Kelle has NO reason whatsoever to call and apologize. Mary does NOT have the ability to place a black mark on her case. And Kelle does not need to apologize when a government contracted employee is rude to her and trys to tell her to "well just be happy that your not filing for the 1-130 or something like that cuz we are packing loads of them up and sending". This information has no bearing on Kelle's situation and does not come into play. And it's not Mary's job to tell Kelle to "be happy". It's her job to answer questions clearly and correctly from US Citizens regarding their pending applications. Come on.

Just so we all understand the brainiacs we are dealing with, here's a brief transcript of my call to NBC today!

I just got off the phone with NBC and was told that they actually had 180 days to process the I-129f before I could complain. I simply asked why that isn't reflected on anything we can see like a website? After all, everything seen by my eyes says 60-90 days. She, my trusty rep, said, "I dunno. It's just what my job tells me." I then asked for a supervisor and after 2 minutes of why do you have 6 months and it's not reflected to those who pay for this process? Then hearing the supervisor go, "Ma'am, I just tell you what the computer tells me." I gave up and called my congressman!

Don't beat yourself up too bad! We'll all get there......eventually....before I need a hoverround!
