Hi guys, it might seem a dumb question but here goes:

I'm currently filling in all the forms needed for the packet 3, I have two questions, do I need to submit the visa reciept with the DS-156? From what I have read for Sydney interviews, we can submit the orginal of the visa reciept at the consulate, is this correct?

The other thing is Medical results, I have been given a copy of the Medical results/documentation, but the actual medical original has been sent to Sydney, has this stuffed up the process or is this normal? For the record, I'm partially deaf which is why the Doc may have sent it there, as having had congential rubella at birth. She's put it as Class B condition (no other boxes ticked and placed the rubella description on the form) but has said it's not a basis for denial. Do I submit the photocopies with the Packet 3 and advise that orginal has been sent to Consulate?

Thanks for any help :)

Hi Matt and Kari

My results were just sent directly to the US Consulate. I was annoyed too because I thought this stuffed up the process but I asked the medical doctor and she said I WASN'T Class A (which is usually cause for denial) but my records had to be sent to Sydney because I have a disorder which requires ongoing treatment (which wasn't considered cause for a denial). For peace of mind I emailed the consulate who said they would hold my records until my paperwork was forwarded from the NVC but not to send any other paperwork until they contacted me. This is the email address: sydneyIV@state.gov

There's been a few things along the way that have been poorly explained and left my hubby and I in the dark and the whole process has been enormously stressful and COSTLY. Anyway all our documents are now with NVC and we are waiting the next step. I hope to be with hubby in the USA in January, maybe sooner.

Good luck and stay in touch. It seems we are on the same path.

Hey guys, thank you for that, we have sorted out the medical side, yes consulate will have results sent directly to them in some circumstances like mine. Also sorted out the Visa payment question.

Thanks Lady, for that, yes it is a long and stressful process, hope your journey continues to be a :) positive and sucessful one! :)
