:star: Wake up sleepyheads and get your week started! :star:

I hope everyone is well rested and had a wonderful weekend. Blessings and good health to all! Now where's the coffee?????

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Good Morning Mena! I got a reply from our embassy where I inquired about the status of our case. It simply said.."we will get back to you soon" Its so ambiguous, I dont know whether to worry or to celebrate. Either way I am yawning and waiting still and getting on with yet another week. Im not ready for these cool mornings yet but thankful I am not in the snow like some places. I wish everyone have a good week!

Im not ready for these cool mornings yet but thankful I am not in the snow like some places. I wish everyone have a good week!

We keep getting those too; generic emails with no real information. Requesting any specific information from the embassy is virtually impossible. My husband called and they told him to send them an email or to have me call the Dept. of State if we had specific questions. We did both and got nowhere. He did, however, get a call from the embassy about 3 weeks after his interview, but we have questions that we weren't prepared to ask when she called, so we're a little stuck. I guess maybe they wouldn't be so backed up if they helped people complete their cases, but when you have questions that need to be answered that only they can help you with, but they won't help you, what can you do? Though, I suppose they can't help because they are so backed up. Its a vicious circle. The embassy is a black hole for some.

Hope you get your answer soon and find your way out of the black hole! Good luck!

I do have a question that someone in here may be able to answer though, if anyone has had any experience with joint sponsors at the embassy level.

After my husband's interview, the CO requested that he provide a joint sponsor or show that I have $5K in my bank account as my annual income was $1,300 short of the requirement. Unfortunately, everyone who was able to jointly sponsor him back when we submitted the I-864 to the NVC, has either lost their job or has a new job that doesn't meet the requirement. My mom offered to do it in a conversation she had with my husband on yahoo and the CO read this and mentioned it to my husband during the interview. We assume she was expecting my mom to sponsor him, but my mom is one of said people who has, unfortunately, been laid off from her job. At the time, she was more than qualified, making $80K per year & owned her house. So we submitted information for my cousin instead. She works with me and makes the same as me, but I have to support my son and my husband, where she would only have to support my husband on the I-864. Her income was more than enough, so we didn't feel it necessary to include the house that she owns becuase to do so, we'd have to pay $350-$400 for an appraisal to assess the value. Well, the embassy declined her application based on her tax returns from LAST year and told us to supply another joint sponsor. It was about a day after we'd recieved this information that we got the call from the embassy and we weren't prepared for what we were going to do next becuase we hadn't anticipated this rejection so we didn't have all the questions that we do now prepare to ask them. SO, my question is, since we don't have another qualified joint sponsor (I honestly don't know ANYONE else that can do this; no friends, no family, no one), have you heard of the embassy re-considering a joint sponsor who was already denied if we re-submitted their information, but included their house as an asset? Furthermore, what are your thoughts on the embassy re-considering ME as a sponsor if we included my husband's cash assets in his bank account (he has the $5K, but we didn't include it before and the NVC accepted the I-864)?

Sorry its a long, rambling question. I always over-explain, but I want everyone to have as much information if they choose to help. Thank you!

Good morning! Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Another fantastic day in the desert! Just the perfect time of the year!

This week we are to be up in the 90's again...at least it's not triple digits!

Can't believe our 3 yr wedding anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks!

I'm trying to plan a getaway for us, but will have to come during winter break.

Would be a trip to the Grand Canyon with a stop over at Metor Crater, or a trip

to Shelter Cove, California (northern). My younger sister has her other home on the cliffs of

the Pacific so it would be a great trip up the coast for Wael. I'm sure other ideas

will come to mind, but for now those are the two we are talking about. I love road

trips and the adventures!!

Have a great Monday! Take care and stay safe.

good morning all :)

my boss called me yesterday and told me the office will be closed for Columbus day so to enjoy my extra day off! I'll probably have to go in for a little while this afternoon to get a few things done but so far this morning I am just relaxing - trying to decide if I should enjoy an extra day with baby or take her to daycare (she loves it there) and have a few hours uninterrupted to actually get stuff done......

I'm with Moody on this one. Two Fridays ago, I was sick and wanted to go home and veg. Hubby made me go get the little one from my mom's - did I have any peace and quiet to myself to make me feel better??? NO!!! :ranting::ranting::ranting:
