My husband is coming up on his 4 year anniversary of being in the States - and 5 years together. I'm with those who said it took 2+ years to really get the groove down and we still have issues but it's no longer really cultural things- more everyday things that any couple under regular circumstances would face. Whereas the first two years were really adjustment issues. It's really amazing to see them metomorphize over time and come into themselves, at least for my husband - I look back now and really can see where he transformed from being very dependent and needing guidance to coming into himself and being very confident. There was a time when I worried what would happen if I passed away or was seriously ill/injured, esp with our kids because I wasn't sure he would be able to handle things - now I don't worry at all.

May 11 '09 - Case Approved 10 yr card in the mail

June - 10 yr card recieved

Feb. 19, 2010 - N-400 Application sent to Phoenix Lockbox

April 3, 2010 - Biometrics

May 17,2010 - Citizenship Test - Minneapolis, MN

July 16, 2010- Retest (writing portion)

October 13, 2010 - Oath Ceremony

Journey Complete!

I have been with my fiance since June 2007 and hopefully he will be having his interview in January.. I love reading all of your posts.. I cant wait to start our life together and I am ready to take the UPS and the DOWNS lol I know there will be lots of both!! lol
