Geez - was this a typo ?

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profil...=0&id=73888

Any input, thoughts, comments appreciated.

Personally, I think it got into the 'fast VSC processing' run from earlier in the year, then NVC electronic processing.

WOW.

Of course, there might have been some expedite in place, as well, but who knows?

Double WOW !

Sorry I am confused with the service center cos I don't see one on any of the paper I've got from the consulate.

We did DCF it (I am still confused by it..)

Well, on the candleforlove site, there are also other members doing DCF just as fast as mine. We guess they just greatly speed up the processing time.

No service center, you used the consulate. Complete explanation:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...om&page=dcf

"Direct Consular Filing (DCF) is the unofficial term for filing an I-130 petition via a Consulate overseas, rather than through the US Service Center. While not everyone will qualify to do so, this process can expedite the speed in which a beneficiary can enter the United States and become a Green Card Holder (US Permanent Resident)."

moving right along

Thank you for the explanation, now it makes sense for me :)

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profil...=0&id=75937

Lots of variables, though....

IF he's staying with the K-3, and IF NVC used SAFEFILE (Solely, no DHL shipment ) to get the casefile over to GUZ, and IF he uses the P3 shortcut ( http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/GUZ_P3_Shortcut ) then MAYBE he'll get some speed :D Lets see how it goes...

Two RFE's, that's why my timeline is on hold for the time being. Last info was received Nov. 11 at 9:45.

Didn't notice you were doing GUZ only. Don't mind me then!

MAL - it is the CHINA forum, la ;)

RFEs suck - it says so, right there on the label !

I don't look at forum titles! pshhhhhhhhh.

Yeah, RFE's do suck - I won on the first one with a supervisor review (no response required). Second one was domicile evidence (I'm the USC living in Canada).

Now for K-1 - it's FattieLittleSlug - my favorite K-1 petition lass in Wuhan (same town as my wife )

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=72981

88 days from start to finish .. SAFEFILE was used in this case , by NVC, as well.

Wow, now that is by far the fastest start to finish K-1 that I have ever heard of - good for them!! I wish that mine had gone that fast but I certainly will not complain since we got approved in the end and our AOS was approved much sooner than I had hoped for.

Eric - ya - SAFEFILE is getting used a bit for K-1 and K-3 this year at GUZ, since May 2009. It's the beastie used for transmittal between NVC and GUZ - and the NVC Electronic Filing Stuff for the I-130 opened up the 'no DHL waiting' this year.
