Hi All,

Hopefully, you all have a good visa journey.

My wife finally received the notice of interview date at Los Angeles & I have some questions.

If someone knows the answers for the following questions, please let me know.

1. On the interview date, can my wife use her foreign passport in order to enter the immigration building or does it have to be US made ID? My wife does not have her ID or drivers license issued in the state.

2. Do I need to bring the following items with me on the interview date? On the Notice of Action, some of them were submitted already when we applied for AOS/I-485)

- A medical examination & Affidavit of Support (Unless already submitted) <-- You don't need this, Right? if you sent it already when you applied for I-485?

- All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident Status <-- What is this?

- My wife's birth cetificate <-- We submitted it already when we applied for I-485, but do they really need this again?

- What else would be a great supporting docs to prove our relationship?

3. Any comments and/or advises for us to go thru this interview smoothly? How was your experience if you have done the interview?

Thank you very much

I'd bring everthing. So def your wifes birth certificate.

I had letters, emails, phone records, health insurance, life insurance, lease, letter from the bank stating joint account, bank cards.

Why don't you get your wife a state ID? It's very easy to get!

I didn't actually have to show ID when I entered the building. Security just asked me for our letter and compared it to the list they had.

So maybe someone else can answer that.

You don't need medical exam/affidavit of support (although I got updated letters from my husbands work ( which they asked for) and brought pay stubs as well.

If you want to read about my experience, check out my profile and it's there.

Good Luck!

Follow the checklist of documents that you received from NVC or your consulate.

It is wise to take a copy or original of everything you submitted to the interview. Since the I-693 was sealed take your DS-3025 along.

Documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident Status would be the NOA2, I-94, and passport with visa.

Great supporting docs to prove our relationship should include photos, joint checking account, joint lease, joint mortgage, birth certificates of children if any, joint -insurance, anything showing spouse as beneficiary, etc.

Naturalization

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony
