What to Send in with Packet 3 and What to Keep until the Interview?

Hello ladies!!

I have posted this topic in the K1 visa forum, but wanted to post it here as well since many of you have dealt with Cairo embassy and know the procedures.

I have received packet 3 on September 28th. I almost have everything ready to be sent back, but I’m very confused about which documents I should send in with packet 3 and which documents I should present at the interview.

So, I have:

- The original NOA1 letter (and copies).

- The original NOA2 letter (and copies).

- Two updated letters of intent that we are going to marry. (dated and signed)

- Cover letter by John’s mother approving of our relationship and confirming we intend to marry. (dated and signed)

- John’s I-134 and his tax returns.

- Our cosponsor papers and tax returns.

- The forms DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-157.

- My police certificate and its translation.

- My birth certificate and its translation.

- John's original birth paper.

- Passport style pics.

- Medical exam. (taken today and should receive the results in a week).

- Proof of our relationship: [How many should I include of each?]

a. Yahoo Chat Logs.

b. Emails.

c. Skype Calls.

d. Calling Cards.

e. Letters.

f. Package receipts.

g. Photos.

h. My engagement ring’s receipt.

i. Correspondence between me and John’s family.

- An entire copy of the original visa documents sent with the I-129F.

Now, what do I send in with packet 3 and what do I keep and bring with me to the interview?

Is there anything missing in this list?

When do I send the medical exam results? Can I include it in packet 3?

When should I get the visa fee paid at CIB? In which packet do I include the receipt?

Also, does proof of engagement equal proof of an ongoing relationship? In my copy of packet 3, I only have that I should provide proof of engagement…nothing yet about ongoing relationship…

I wouldn't send originals with the packet 3. Send copies and bring the originals with you. The proofs I would bring to the interview. Not sure about intent to marry letters, I didn't do K-1 so maybe those should go with packet 3? What do the instructions say? I would send everything the instructions say and bring the rest with you. Skip the calling cards. Cards alone aren't proof that you or he made any calls to one another. Everything else sounds good. Insist that the CO looks at your stuff.

DS-156 Non-immigrant visa application- 2 Copies

DS-156K Non-immigrant visa application - 1 COPY

DS-157- 1 COPY

I-134 affidavit of support form along with Tax forms or bank info as necessary

2 photos (5cm * 5cm / 2inches * 2inches)

Original police record

Copy of birth certificate

Unopened report from the medical examination

Receipt from the CIB bank (FEE $131) '' send the original ''

DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY DHL ALONG WITH PREPAID ENVELOPE - IT COSTS 67 LE IN ORDER TO SEND DOCUMENTS AND PAY FOR THE PREPAID ENVELOPE.

Yes send the medical exam results with packet 3 .

Send the CIB receipt '' the visa fee '' with packet 3 .

Take all of your evidence ''bonafide ''of ongoing relationship with you to the interview including the letter of intent to marry and i don't think that they will ask you for that anyway .''don't send them any cause probably they will send i back to you ''

Take the copy of the I-129 with to the interview just in case .

Take your original birth certificate to the interview ''they will ask you for it at the interview''

Now is that "All" are info ...Intent letter ..e mails and so on? i thought that was all taken to the interview. but in the packet it notes on the form DS-156 NOTE: FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED

Now is that "All" are info ...Intent letter ..e mails and so on? i thought that was all taken to the interview. but in the packet it notes on the form DS-156 NOTE: FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED

yeah i know that they mentioned that in that form .but believe me i told you the right thing .

When i don't actually know the answer, I find it's best to refrain from posting. so if i was not sure i wouldn't answer her questions .

she should take all evidences to the interview .cause if she send any probably they will send it back to her '' and it happened by the way. someone here sent some of fonafide of ongoing relationship and they sent them back to him ''

You know what bro .maybe they will not even ask her for any evidences at the interview .even is she will try to show them bonafide of ongoing relationship they might say ''its ok we have enough ... ''

I know that process is kinda hard .Hang in there bro .
