Hey Everyone,

We recently received our NOA 2 and as well the letter from the NVC that they are forwarding everything to the consulate. They will have forward it this past week. I am trying to get the last few things around to send to my fiance and have a question.

- I went down to Guatemala at the end of August to visit and at that time took with me all the financial information and I-134 forms. Since about a month and a half have passed since I filled these forms out and the letters from my bank were written, do I need to redo all of this because that time passed or is it all still valid?

- Secondly, is it of some benefit to both go to the interview? I am just considering the option of going down for the interview and was not sure if this is necessary or not.

Please help me out as I am hoping to send everything this week. Thanks for all your help on this.

Bendiciones!

If your financial situation (job, etc) is still the same, you wouldn't need to redo everything - it wouldn't be a bad idea to include your recent pay stubs to update it(since you originally did the I-134).

In some countries, the USC being at the interview isn't necessary at all, but there aren't as many Embassies/Consulates like this as we'd like. For many countries, the USC being at the interview is recommended - I haven't hear much about Guatemala over the years (good or bad really, although it rates 4/5 stars) but I'll bet if you can/are-able-to, it couldn't hurt.

There are several reviews for the US Embassy in Guatemala -LINK

Just wondering if you have had your interview with the consulate yet and if you decided to go or not? If yes, please share how it went. There are so few of us from Guatemala so any little insight would be wonderful.
