did you guys put your alien (or the person who will remove condition) number on each page of your packet like in your affidavit from friends, reference letter from bank etc etc.....

i was thinking, like in the affidavit from friends, it is a letter signed by a different person. Then writing something on somebody else's letter, wouldn't that look like strange?

thanks guys.

good luck to all of us.

god bless.

I did not. The blank pages with the tabs separating my documents have my A#. But I didn't include in all documents. I did not want to alter any document.

Honestly, I think if they misplace it, having the A# or not, they will probably just send an RFE instead of find out where is the rest of the document...

I wrote my A number name and the type of application on the upper right hand corner of every page. If it concerns you about writing on original documents, then use a pencil there - it can be erased. I too figured that if they misplaced - or dropped - parts of the file it would be easier to re-unite it with the rest of the file if every page was identified.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Well, yes and no... I'm lazy. I printed off the very small return address labels with my name and A# and put them at the top of every page. Where it didn't work on the top right, I put it on the bottom right.

Who knows but every now and then you see where peeps paperwork was lost at NVC or USCIS. Could be someone droping a big stack of petitions. If they were having a bad day they may "round file' them if it's difficult to re-organixe them.

I GUARANTEE sh!t like that happens.

We didn't write the A-number on every page. Just on the cover letter. We had all the pages put together with ACCO fastener so I figured they would keep them together. Got a timely approval with no problems. :)

I did not include the A# anywhere except where it was suppose to be stated in the I-751 form. I did not put the A# on our cover page either. I guess thats just us, though...so we may be the minority. Oh well, too late to regress now. :(

Yes, I put my A# on right top corner of each page...Put tabs on the bottom...according to table of contents on the cover letter.

(ex. Please refer to Tab 1 for form I-175, tab 2 for passport copy, tab 3 for GC copy, etc.....)

I didn't, altho I thought about it after assembling everything and wished that we had done that during the assembly process. But at that point I'd thought of it, I was more concerned with getting the paperwork sent off than anything else - not to mention we had 4.4 lbs of paperwork which would have been quite a lot of writing/labeling to do in a hurry.

Only on the application and Cover letter and Table of Contents. We used ACCO fasteners. They have not lost anything yet, to my knowledge.
