Hey everyone -- I received both an an I-797 and I-797C in the mail today, dated Oct 6. The two forms are EXACTLY the same, both say "approval notice" with the same dates for validity. I just don't understand why I got two forms in the mail. I gather that our initial filing of the I-129F (for a K-1 application) was approved, and our application has been forwarded on to the next stage?? Just wondering if anyone can help explain why I would get 2 different forms saying the same thing, and what am I supposed to do now?

This forum has been so amazingly helpful for me. Big giant thanks to everyone for your info & support!!

Hmm...that is strange. Maybe one is your official copy and the other is courtesy copy. This is just a guess. Because, my attorney recieved the official copy and I got the courtesy copy of the approval notice I-797C.
