You need to gather all the information for your fiances interview. I would start on that as soon as possible. You call NVC to find out if they have sent out your petition to the consulate. Sometimes your embassy has the documents for packet 3 on the website. The packet 3 is what the beneficiary needs to send out so you can get an interview date which will tell you where you need to take the medical and other important things. You can either wait for the packet 3 to be mailed to you, or once the consulate recieves the petition you can even just mail it to them by downloading the required forms on the website.

Starlight is correct. Start getting forms and the affidavit of support ready to go.

What you need to do is, yes find out when NVC sends file to the embassy. You can then email the embassy to see if they have received it. Once they have received your file (alot of the folks in the yardie forum including myself) has emailed the DS-230 part I to the embassy. (check out the Yardie interview forums) As soon as they have received it, they will schedule your interview. NVC knows when the embassy has scheduled your interview. You can either call them, wait for packet 4 (interview letter), or email the embassy, However you WILL need the interview letter for the interview. (Both of you will get packet 4) As soon as you know the interview date (don't wait for the official letter)but as soon as the embassy or NVC tells you the interview date, schedule the medical! Hope this helps you. Good luck.

No, I did not received any text or email notification and I signed up for both, the website still list it as initial review. Hang in there and say a little prayer each day. Good luck.

Thanks for your help. Will he need the interview letter or the NOA to get his police and non impediment to marriage certificates and the medical? I would like him to get these ASAP because he's in the country and has to work and his days off are crazy, sometimes during the week sometimes weekends. Don't he needs to sign the DS-230 part 1?

He can get his police certificate and his Non-impediment now - I would suggest getting the police cert. by rush order - If you come down to the regional forums, there are several Yardies at the same stage as you, and many recent interviews who can guide you -

There is a great thread about emailing the DS-230 - Don't wait on the package 3 to gather your forms, many in JA never receive it - Yes, he needs to sign the DS-230 and have it ready to return to the embassy for when your case is received.
