Hello,

At my husband's interview he was required to get a joint sponsor because I did not have enough income and unemployed.

So we got someone to do the I-864 and the I864A

I have a question where I might have rushed and put the wrong or / reversed info.

PART 1. HOUSEHOLD MEMBER (you) = I let the joint sponsor person filled that out... and also on the

PART 2. Sponsor's Promise (she put her name too)

I think I did it wrong... because the last part PART 3. Household member promise, I printed my name and signed it.

WASN'T IT SUPPOSED TO BE HER (THE JOINT SPONSOR)

i know this may sound stupid but i confused myself.

Please give me some light, i wil greatly appreciate it..

For this form I864A . am i the sponsor or the household member? Who fills out the 1st part = household member???

also this person is not related to me so what should they put on relationship to sponsor, if they put other they have to specify, can FRIEND be written there??

PLEASE PLEASE HELP PLEASE!!

My husband and I are frustated with all this...

Thanks!

Who is your household member you have to submit proof of relationship to the petitioner. So don't fill out the i-864A unless the household member is related to petitioner the the NVC wants to see proof of relationship. If the co-sponsor is not related to you or you can't provide relationship fill the I-864 out and check co-sponsor.

on the I-864A the sponsor petitioner sings and print the petitioners name and the co-sponsor or household member sings and prints their name they go second on the paper.
