Hello all...I'm just trying to get an understanding of exactly what documents will be needed at POE, and what is the questioning like? Anyone who's come through within the last year feel free to answer! Thanks a bunch!

Our POE was super easy. I went with him through the visitor line. The guy asked a lot of questions, but they were about how the fiance visa worked (not really about us specifically. Seemed like we were training him.)

Then Steven had to go to some other room to turn in his paperwork. They didn't ask him any questions; just looked through the packet from the embassy and suggested that he get married sooner rather than later so he could file for AOS/EAD. He was in there for about 10 minutes.

At the immigration you need to provide your passport, the brown envelope and the custom form to the CBP officer.

I went to the citizens/returning residents line, and the only question I got was "So are you immigrating?"

Nothing more was asked/said, and papers were processed in a separate for 15 minutes or so.

That's it. Nothing special. It was so easy.

Super easy and fast ... we entered through Chicago O Hare at night. We went through line together, it appeared all the lines were the same at this time of day, he needed the whole file (brown envelope) which included all his documents that he recieved when he got the visa from DHL

The officer was nice and friendly and asked us casual questions not about our relationship but I think more to be friendly and that was it. We then collected our bags and off we went

Case arrived in Kingston August 26

Have not recieved a packet 3 but being

pro active and sent the DS 230pt1

DS 230 Pt1 sent via Tara Courier Sighned for by E. Morgan 09/03/2009

E-mailed Kingston 09/08/2009 to confirm it has been received

E mail Received Back 09/09/2009 Saying the following:

Good day,

An appointment letter was mailed out to the applicant on September 8th 2009 to the address that we have on file. The applicant should be receiving the letter soon.

Regards,

Immigrant Visa Unit
