Do they give you the results after the medical - I mean do they tell you if you have passed or not ? or do we have to wait for the actual interview to be told everything was fine at the medical and everythign is now fine with the interview?

The panel physician has no responsibility to you. Therefore he does not have to tell you what is going in...

I asked the nurse if they were going to tell me if there was something wrong with me. And they said that if there was something wrong, they would and that they will not give me the envelope. They would tell me to see my doctor.

The nurse who drew my blood even told me of an incident last April or May. She said that there was a guy who came for the medical, and he had lung cancer he didn't know about. But I guess they saw something in his x-ray. Anyway, they told him when he came to pick up his results.

When I picked up my results, I asked again if everything was fine with me. And they said, "Yes, everything is okay". So, I guess you can just ask them when you pick up the results.

Good luck!

Maybe Canada is different, but if I recall, Londoners don't 'pick up' their results - they are sent to the consulate prior to the interview.

Yes the results are sent directly to the embassy, but you can call the medical centre if you want to check that everything is alright before your interview

I have read incidences here where patients were called or contacted, but only if the medical revealed some sort of condition that the patient was unaware of. A true health condition.

Otherwise, no news is good news.

And yes you have to go to London.

Hey Lina,

Pcraddy and I went to his medical on June 23rd and they are the NICEST staff ever. They are great. Basically she told us and the 3 other people we were there with that the results are sent right to the consulate but they will have them by the following Thursday so if you want to call and check. She also told us they would call if there was a cause for concern in the results.

They were great. I waited while Craddy went in for the exam and he said they were extremely extremely professional and kind.

Good luck!

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Good luck out there!

Hey btw joey - you still in england? r u staying for his interview then both going back to US?

Ok i get confused when it cvomes to traveling my trains, tubes and airplaines lol

Does anyone know what route and the quickest chepest options would be - If I took the train from Leicester to St pancreas in london - how far is the medical centre and the embassy from there? do I need to take tubes? if so where to? I am just trying to plan ahead and work out what I should do as I dont want to really stay in london for a week as I cant find noone to look after my cats so i thought i may have to do a train journey twice or if i can fit medical one day and interview next i may be able to stay over night.

thanking in advance

Lina

Lina:

Nope, I'm back here in hot muggy Michigan. Big storms last night - our power is out for the next two days according to the power company. Good times! We have power here at work though, yehhhh ;)

Craddy's interview is Monday so I won't be able to go but I have all the confidence in the world in him. He's going to be just fine, he's got everything in order.

You're going to be in London, correct? Hmm, I don't know the tube system well enough to direct you from where you're staying but we took a BA flight to Gatwick then bought a return gatwick express/tube pack for 16GBP. It got us to and back from Victoria Station and meant we could use the tube for the whole day. We got out at Bond Street and found Marlyebone right away. You walk straight down Marleybone until you can't anymore and look right and there's the medical building. VERY EASY. So I'd aim for Bond Street on the tube map, Crad walks fast and it took us about 5 minutes from the station to the medical center.

As for the interview and getting to the embassy, Craddy's staying at a hotel nearby so again, I'm not much help with tube stations but if he has any insight after Monday, we'll make sure to get it to you.

Best of luck, Joey
