Something like this relating to something semi big relating to the cars happens to every car company.

I'm sure it's not going to hurt them that much... if it did my dad would be out of a job instead of putting in overtime.

They can't even keep up with their production in the plant my dad works in.

GM thought the same thing for many decades. Their US market share was about 55% in the early 1970's. Today it is about 17%. Never say never.

True, never say never.

But I'll still stick with Toyota anyway :P

Why do you hate America?

I don't. Liking a Japanese company doesn't make me an American hater.

I have my preferences.

You do. Admit it.

If I didn't like America, I wouldn't be moving there :P

The end.

I don't believe you.

I do.

Besides, you're a traitor. You're moving to Australia for cheap gas for your 747 and rocket ship.

Don't think we'll miss you!

Still have my 1988 Toyota Supra Turbo, loaded with every conceivable option, only 50K miles on it, and I never rodded it or drove it on ice or snow. But those were the days when Toyota hired American engineers for the mechanics and electronics, and Italian designers for the body. Toyotas were pretty good cars until 1990 when they devalued the dollar and had to cheapen up the manufacturing, first thing to go was the American engineers. Been all downhill since then, certainly not the quality of vehicle made in the 80's. GM has it ups and downs, they haven't made anything good since 2004, their SUV's are a nightmare for any owner. Only up and coming automotive company is Ford making great strides in reliability. Ford was my favorite car until 1948 when Henry the First died. His kids never took engineering classes, all business.

If any country is capable of making a decent vehicle, it's the USA, if the stockholders and CEO would only let us, everything has to be cheap cheap cheap. The replacement parts you have to buy are marked up as much as a hundred times over the manufacturing cost. I know this for a fact.
