Finally, my long wait to touch and hold my visa is over.

Got it from Air21 office yesterday.

The information in my visa is complete and correct

but,

the name of my husband is misplelled in the Immigrant data summary,

they write Christian instead of Christiaan.

My question is.....

Does it matter? I am worried..I will be flying next week.

I need your opinions and suggestions.

Thank you so much. :help:

I dont know how much of an issue this is. However, you can go to the embassy and explain that you need a correction made. They will let you into Entry #2 and probably direct you to window 34. Window 34 is where they fix visa problems. The embassy should be able to correct this in an hour or they will tell you it does not need to be corrected.

One note of caution. DO NOT BRING YOUR CELL PHONE. My wife showed up to fix a visa problem and they refused to let her into the embassy until she got rid of her cellphone. A week earlier they allowed her and I to store our cellphones when we went in for our interview. I guess they do not accomodate non-citizens with this.

Dont worry - it will be easy to fix.

I really don't think anyone will be focusing on that data sheet... The airline will care about your visa, passport and the CFO stamp. Immigration on the US side will take the packet,, but, again they will be more concerned about you,,, not the petetioner. If you can get it fixed now that is better,,, but, in reality as long as your data is fine,, I think you will be fine.

My always humble two centavos,

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

To abbynsheryl, DouglasFiel and Hoot,

Thanks a lot. I will just leave it the way they wrote it.

Anyway it's just the data summary, all the papers inside are correct.
