Does a F-1 Student has an Alien Number?

Hello All!!!

I’m new in this community; I hope you guys can help me…

My questions are:

1.Does a student visa holder has a Alien Registration number?

My I-94 was stolen, and I just have the copy of the front of it, not the back where this number is usually handwritten.

2. On form I-130,page 2, questio 22:

“22.Complete the information below if your relative is in the USA and will apply for AOS.

Your relative is in the USA and will apply for AOS to that a lawful permanent resident at USCIS office in__________???___________.”

What should I answer? Should answer New York, where I live, or Chicago where I will send my forms?

Question 1: As a F-1 student visa holder I don't believe you'll have an A-number until you file I-130. When you file the I-130 you'll get the A-number straight away on the NOA.

I am also on an F1 and yes you get the alien number once you send in the I130, so for now you can leave that blank. Also, you have to write the name of the field office your supposed to apply to. You can search that online or call USCIS 1-800-375-5283

Well maybe you do maybe you don't. If you ever filed for OPT then yes you will have an A number otherwise no.
