They attacked innocent people in my country on more than one occasion and as a result I have 3 siblings over there putting their lives on the line.

It's not reasonable to argue that all Muslims are bad or evil or that they should all be killed. But consider that although there are many predominantly Muslim countries, none of them are developed to provide a high standard of living. None of them provide a reasonable degree of freedom to their people, particularly women. Consider that most of the wars that are being fought today have Muslims on at least one side (and frequently on two). Consider that for the last 500 years, Muslim nations have produced comparatively few technological advancements

considering that 1/4 of the world is Muslim.

The point isn't that the people are bad. They are good people. Many of them are honest, just, and upright. But the culture and religion are abused and broken.

If you consider the pre-industrialized world, much can be said in favor of Islam and many of these evils can be attributed to Christianity. But let's look at the world as it is today. Islam as a philosophy is being abused to an extent that it plagues the world.

Since the largest group of Muslims live in Southeastern Asia, and that is also the fastest growing Muslim population, you may find some of those folks disagreeing with you. For instance, there were muslims in the Philippines before the Magellan found the place.
