i don't even know about anything anymore...

Don't let Sofiya's exuberant pessimism bring you down. Like other Right Wingers, her hatred for our President consumes her like heroin does to an addict.

Ah..the aptly named poster. Wake up honey...you've left it rather a long time. In case you haven't bothered to read even state owned media..BOTH sides are laughing at this preposterous award. It's a joke.

That doesn't take away the fact that so many Right Wingers are consumed with hatred for our President. If the man blows his nose, they gasp in outrage. I'm concerned that it's the weekend and the President might take his wife out to dinner...one can only imagine what kind of outrage that'll stir among the haterz.

Ah, the uniformed RWN. Always entertaining. I think that Sarkozy's note to Obama sums it up nicely.

President Obama,

I was delighted to learn of the decision of the jury in Oslo to award you this year's Nobel Peace Prize for your extraordinary efforts to strengthen diplomacy and international cooperation.

I want to express to you, you personally and the American people, my warmest congratulations.

By awarding you its most prestigious prize, the Committee is rewarding your determined commitment to human rights, justice and spreading peace across the world, in accordance with the will of its founder Alfred Nobel. It also does justice to your vision of tolerance and dialogue between States, cultures and civilizations. Finally, it sets the seal on America's return to the heart of all the world's peoples.

I am particularly happy that this Prize is awarded to you today because I know it will bolster your determination to act for justice, for peace and to safeguard the planet's global balance. I am convinced that everyone, all over the world, will draw from this an even stronger determination to cooperate with you and with America to achieve these common objectives.

I can tell you that on this path you will be able to count on my steadfast support and that of France.

There are scores of Nobel Peace Price laureates that received the price for efforts that either had yet to bear fruit or that never really would. Desmond Tutu, for example, received the prize in 1984 for his work to end Apartheid in South Africa - the end of Apartheid, however, actually occured some 10 years later in 1994. Woodrow Wilson received the prize for founding the League of Nations which never actually accomplished it's goals and ended up defunct. There are such more samples to be had - the point is that it is quite dishonest to pretend that only those with a lifetime of accomplishments have thus far been awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize. Effort has been recognized throughout the history of this award.

Well, in the real world it's actually called perspective. Not that you'd know anything about that. Drink up!

Regardless of whether our President was the most deserved candidate to win the Nobel Peace Prize, the Obama haterz are jumping on his case over this when he had no personal influence on the decision. To them, nothing tied to him in any way will make them pause from hating the President, even for a moment to congratulate him. The hatred runs deep in their bones.

There is possibly (OK...maybe definitely) some truth to your statement. In your statement though you do seem to concede that Obama wasn't really worthy of winning this award.

However, I think that alot of people might be equally outraged if 'insert any name' here had won who wasn't truly deserving...so lets not deflect from that...because I think that alot of people can use natural reasoning (without political bias) to determine that something went screwy here...
