All I wanted to do what make my avatar a pretty fall tree...and now it won't let me add anything!

I keep getting this error message:

The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments.

So then I figured out where to delete some attachments and there's hardly space taken up there. So I don't get why it's still not letting me.

Tree avatars are against the TOS.

Just kidding. If you are uploading the image from your computer, the filesize cannot exceed 16 KB according to the instructions. Are you using this method and is your file larger than 16 KB? If so, this wouldn't be the first time a software system provided a misleading error message.
