Reading the VJ Guides is a great way to gain information.

Looking at your timeline I would assume that your wife received a conditional green card that expires 2 years after she received it. Check the card to be sure. If so, you would be preparing for Lifting/Removing Condtions and using the form I-751.

First of all - please make an actual timeline - the one in your signature doesn't help anyone. Part of what makes VJ a great place are the statistics and experiences from those who have gone before us.

Secondly - you would not be 'renewing' your wife's PR/Green Card but will be Lifting/Removing the two-year condition (called Lifting or Removing Conditions). You may do this no sooner than 90 days before the card expires - my calculation (based on your signature's timeline) comes out to about 02/17/10 is when the window opens (of course it closes the day the card expires).

Fee is $585 ($465 I-751 and $80 biometrics).

The details can be found HERE
