What does it mean when a Filipino tells you 'it just happened' when they did something like spend too much or was gone too long or whatever?

i think it means there was a shoe sale.

hmm...it sounds like a lack of accountability

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Stilletos lose speed and direction after a few feet. Tennis shoes flies better and hits harder.

i'm thinking they have a better chance to put an eye out or a hole in the wall.

Time to sit down and talk .

On the serious side, I will take my wife as an example. When she goes shopping for personal items ( clothes, shoes etc) she has a limit ( by her own choice)on how much to spend even before she goes out that door..with that, I don't worry at all that she overspends. She works but she is also very conscientious of how much she spends. Emergency saving is a big thing for her and I must say I feel very lucky with how she handles money. Because of this, she handles our finances..when its time to pay bills, I just ask her how much I have to pay and I'll transfer money from my personal account to our joint one without questions.

She works full time, 40 hours a week, every other weekend so when she has her off day, she spends it with me or our friends, together. Before, when I travel she sometimes visit friends during her off days but I am fully updated where she is because she calls everytime. Now that she is reviewing for the NCLEX, she just reads during her off days.

I don't believe in "deal with it" ..if it becomes an issue, the two of you must sit down and resolve it. When one's action is bothering the other, it should be addressed with and not ignored.Kill the fire while there is only smoke.

WHOA! If it is something as serious as going way overboard with credit card privileges then you are doing the right thing. I'm with you on that  Oh, Claudeth!

Yea, she is outta control  She needed shoes and can't find any that are worth a damn locally so I let her get new ones on the Internet. Evidently she took the 'yes you can use the card' to mean she could by shoes, and jewelry and clothes and.....and.....and.....grrrrrrrr  I thought I had it well explained what she was using the card for but I guess she didn't hear anything after the 'you can use the card' part
