Hello to everyone here!

I am confuse when it comes to the expiration date, I am a K1 visa holder. Which date am I going to place on my AOS application forms? I arrived here in US last April 7 so the 90 day period was ended last July 6 but the immigration officer stamped July 6, 2007 instead which i think is really a mistake.

Pls. inform where would I base the expiration daye which i will put on my application forms and another thing is what status should I put would it be "Out of Adjustment Status" or "Pending Adjustment of Status?"

Hope to hear from anyone who knows about this matter. Thanks and God bless!

I AM SORRY I CAME HERE 2006, ISN'T THAT YOU JAVE YO PUT YOUR !-94 # AS WELL AS THE EXPIRATION DATE BOTH IN AOS & EAD APPLICATION FORMS. SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT DATE AM I GOING TO PUT IN THERE WOULD THAT BE JULY 6, 2006 (END DATE OF 90-DAYS PERIOD), OR THE DATE JULY 6, 2007 DATE STAMPED BY THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER) OR THE EXPIRATION OF MY K1 VISA WHICH IS SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 (6 MONTHS FROM THE ISSUANCE OF MY VISA)?

I see what you are talking about, the box with "Expires on (mm/dd/yyyy)" a little above 1/2 way through the page, right?

Well I thought that went with the K1 Visa not the I-94, so we put the date my husband's K1 expires... might not have been right, but we have an interview next week and haven't gotten an RFE yet, so far so good!

As for status... We put K-1 VISA HOLDER, but his was still valid. If it was me, I would put K-1 VISA HOLDER, but also wait and see if someone who filed after their visa expired can give you better advice!

Part One on the I-485 asks for the expiration date.

Once you enter the country, the I-94 and K1 visa have the same expiration date.

It seems to me the officer made a mistake. So the expiration date on your I-94 states that it expires on July 2007 instead of 2006? The expiration of September, 2006 no longer qualifies as that is just how long you have to move to the United States.

The proper expiration date is July 2006, I think I would put that and maybe write a note stating the officer put the wrong year? Maybe give them a call?... gotta love it when they make mistakes and you have to fix them. All the best!

Read FAQ:

You're looking for section 6.1

Also, I'd put July 2006 as expiration.
