I think what really, really bothers me about that picture is that when I was severely anorexic and had a BMI of 11, I probably looked that skinny (head bigger than my hips!) but NOT that good. No "real" person who is that size (the shopped girl has a BMI of maybe 14 at the most, in my opinion) is going to look that good -- they're going to look malnourished and sick. Hell, I was practically bald.

I don't think I started looking like a woman (any sort of breasts or hip/butt definition) until my BMI was over 16. From a recovered-anorexic point of view, it's definitely been interesting. These days my BMI bounces between 18-20ish. I still struggle with a LOT of issues left over from my anorexia, including a very low BMR and muscle wasting. I probably average around 1500 calories a day with an hour of weight lifting every other day. Can't do cardio anymore because I had a heart-attack when I was sixteen.

Overall I'm not entirely certain how I feel about this picture or about views like those of tallcoolone's. I've been there, done that, have the t-shirt. I think it's about being HEALTHY but also about accepting the body that you have. I'd love more than anything to still be underweight yet still have those subtle curves and boobs (haha, yeah right, size C or D) -- ahh well. I'm rambling.

Wrong. I am not overweight at all; and women like the model look just sick. That, and thanks to that kind of ####### advertisement we have teenagers starving themselves to death, creating all kinds of disorders that could be avoided if we only sent more positive images to girls and women. So in all honesty, glorifying anorexic looking women is fvcked up.

The anorexic/bulemics I knew; no matter how much they brushed their teeth...

1. Teeth always looked like sh*t

2. Breath smelled like VOMIT

3. That lanugo hair they grow from malnutrition made them look disgusting

4. No boobs, too skinny, sickly looking with thin patches of hair and what was there was dry and brittle (I like a full mane of soooft hair)!

I don't care the size or shape as long as they're toned (obesity is a sure way to turn it all off). I've always been a fan of B cups myself; any bigger and they pack extra weight everywhere else.

Just my thoughts! Make do with what we're given!
