That rampant inflation was brutal and the if I remember it right the inflation was up around 20% to combat it. Pissing off our allies The list is real long with Carter.

Some of these young Obamacans don't know why gas tank doors on cars have locks. During the Carter years, gas was scarce, so people used to steal gas by siphoning it out of unlocked car gas tanks. They don't know that the program "Nightline" started as a daily chronicle of the hostage situation in Iran that Carter was impotent to end. They don't know about "stagflation" and "malaise", or that he bailed out Chrysler, and that he went around apologizing for America. Obama is Carter II, for sure.

LOL. I forgot about the Cheese riots when Carter had the government take all the butter and cheese that was in storage to shore up the price and delivered it into the blighted neighborhoods. They made sure the media covered it to show how compassionate the Socialists were and the people came and rioted to get the cheese. The media covering it never expected it and most had to run for their lives. Ahhhh, the memories.
