Politics. Some of players involved happen to be adherents to Islam. This is not a religious war although it's being touted as one. I invite ppl to meet some real life Muslims and have some in depth convos with them. Buying gas or cigarettes from a Muslim doesn't count.

I have three Muslims living in my household. I feel no threat from them. Two have my own blood flowing through their veins.

They are ppl.

Not to bring up religious wars but didn't the Christians wage war on the world at some point in time? Weren't ppl forced to convert under threat of death? VJ and interwebs weren't around back then so of course there weren't news reports or threads about it.

Organized religion in general breeds contempt. Let's try to look outside of the box and view ppl as ppl. Tolerate, love or hate on a case by case basis.

one of my elder sisters not only left islam but also became catholic she is still alive and still comes to the home with her husband and children nobody killed her or threatened her ........... really some ridicules ideas about islam......

we have non muslim friends as well as muslim friends..........our loyalty is equal its the person that we look at not the religion

Just look at history, WE HAVE FANATICS all all sides, at one point Christians were being persecuted, at other point in History some part of Church itself became the persecutor, Now muslim are the one taking the wrap because of Lunatic Ideological using Islam as their excuse, the same way you have people sending other To kill others but yet carrying a Bible with them.

terrorism exists in every religion. i can whip out a bunch of verses from the Torah and the Bible as well that call for violence against others that do not belong to their faith. it's kind of petty to display that.

in the end, faith makes or breaks a religion. obviously, there is more to these faiths if billions of people subscribe to them.

and in my humble opinion, culture plays a huge part in how people act according to particular elements of their faith. why is it you don't see so called extremists coming from some parts of the world but you do from others?

of course, exceptions exist, which is why this topic is not an easy one to discuss. but i find it funny how the filipino couple can post all those verses from the quran but neglect to look at their own book and see these:
