Ok I needed to fax the consulaten in Morocco. Guess what the number that they have posted is not the correct number. I remembered they added a digit in the spring, well duh. They have not updated there site yet. Does anyone know the new numbers to the consulate to call and or fax them. I can not pester them for a second interview if all i can do is email them.

My fiance was denianed yesterday, and only god knows why. She asked him all kinds of questions about me, and he did well till she asked when did we get romantic. I guess he had to think about it before answering her. Well romantic in what way. We can only assume right. Well after answering her, she said his english was bad and handed him his paper with the denial on it. Great, lovely.

He's more then upset, he is heart broken. Would not use a cam yesterday with me cuz he did not want me to see him so upset. Already called my senator trying to get his review done. Just i need to aggervate them other then email . I need working numbers cause this fax number of 212-2-220-4127 is not working and this consulate number of 212-2-67-151 is not working either.Grrrr

I figured out the consulates number i played with the number till it rung through. So I am sure the fax number has changed to

212-52-220-4127

You would think they would keep this updated. Ohhh well, maybe this can help others out too.

Your Senator's first response will be to send a letter to the consulate. Attempt to get your Senator to call them directly on the phone to follow up on the interview and try to get them to review it before returning the petition/application.

If the return is already in the works you may not be able to stop it. In this case, have your Senator attempt to get the reasons why your case is being returned, and to get the diplomatic pouch number that the fle will be returned in. This can be tracked once the diplomatic pouch leaves the consulate, and will give you some idea of how long until the original USCIS office will receve it which is usually about 30 days after arrival in the NVC Fraud Unit.

Also do call the consulate directly yourself if you can. You may not get past the first desk when you call, this consulate has a strict policy not to discuss visa issues in person or over the phone. However, do try calling for sure. When you call personally, the call will be rolled over to a desk most likely supported by a Moroccan or even an American secretary who will attempt to deter you from speaking to anyone of authority, this happened to me. So, I played a little trick on the consulate to get an officer to speak to me, I already knew the senior consul's name so it was a matter of being convincing enough for them to forward the call.

My exact words were: "My name is xxxx, the Department of State has asked me to contact MM directly regarding an urgent issue." My call was forwarded to the senior consul's desk. It rolled over to voice mail, so I called back and told them that it is urgent I speak to him directly, and they gave me the direct line number. ;) Truth is, the State Department did suggest I call the consulate directly to inquire about my case, they may not have said speak to the senior consul, but I had to use that info to my advantage for the mere fact that I had the information to begin with.

I waited about 20 minutes and called the senior consul's desk directly and he personally answered, we spoke about my case for 15-20 minutes. Although my plea did no good, I did learn something from the conversation. I was told "First of all, your case is not denied, it will be reviewed by the USCIS office who approved your petition before a final decision is made. We deal with a lot of fraud at this post. Many of these cases are returned to the United States, some come back to us, but many do not. Yours may be one of those that comes back to us after review." This told me that 1. They do this quite often due to the volume of fraud, most likely in an attempt to see who makes it through the return process with the relationship still in tact. 2. They really didn't have any kind of solid legal reason to return my case, they were just returning it and the senior consul was not willing to question the interviewing CO about her decision.

My point in telling you all of this is, do try every single avenue you can to get them to review the decision on your case. However, this is not the end of your journey even if your file is actually returned. The only way this petition/application is officially denied after review by the USCIS is if there is a legal reason such as misrepresentation, evidence of fraud, no response on your part to the NOIR/NOID or some other official visa ineligibility on your fiance's part. Quite frankly, we do have more rights than we are aware of when this first happens to us. Of course every case has diffrerent circumstances, but there is a method to the process, and you can make it through to the other end of the tunnel.

I wish you luck in getting them to review your case before it is returned, be relentless in that respect. :)

pay attention to Kiyah, she is our expert....your job now is to try to get it held there, as she said its not the end but very discouraging and time consuming. Kiyah and mine were both returned and we made it thru. Do something every day to keep it there, it wont go until the pouch is full and then they should be able to tell you the pouch number as proof it has left. If no number, its still there

I wished i could of kept it there. His interview was wednesday and they sent it back friday. I faxed them, emailed them several times. I called the consulate and got the run around. I called my senator but by the time i faxed back the papers to give premission they sent it back already. I am so upset and at a lose. But if i can get this sent back, it would be wonderful. My only choice left is get married. and that is not what my fiance is looking for he is looking for answers and why. I know the fraud there is really bad. But she never got to see new proof like phone records, we call each other often. Well we give missed calls all day long, he can not afford to call at 15 dirhams a minute to call out of morocco. I call every other day, for a few minutes. We had pics and a lot of them. So i mean how could this women know if we was real or not. She should of gather all her evidence first and then said hmm. but no because he could not answer her romantic question the way she wanted she insulted his english and denied him. It is so frustrating. If he lied he would of been aproved, that is sicking.

Did they give u the pouch number? if not it probably DIDNT go yet, they are bad about this saying one thing and doing another. Why didnt she see all the evidences, was he prepared and had it all with him and she wouldnt look or he was not prepared....if it is back sorry but this is a lesson for those to follow.

First always have the senator/rep lined up and ready to go if this happens dont wait until AFTER the interivew do sign him up and let him know the details ahead of time...timing is very important

Be sure they take all the evidences to the interview, dont think oh i can return with more the next day it dont work like that. If he had it all teach them to present the evidences at the correct time. If she asks how do you talk, then he would say we talk phone some here would you like to see the records and hand them to her, if he says talk computer then he would say we chat alot because of money here would you like to see our chats etc etc. How long was her visits, here would you like to see our pictures of the trip

These things i learned myself to late, our first was returned, i made another trip married and had no more problems, it can all be overcome in time but as in time of probably another year but it can happen. Anyway have them give you the pouch number so you can track the return. If it is returned to calif i would forget it and either refile or marry and the other takes so long to review i would still just go marry and be done with it.

He did have all the evidence, but i am sure he did not think here look at this. A hard lesson learned. I think once she kept going on and going on about the romance question, he was getting flustered.

That is really good advice. I am getting ready to send my fiance everything, all copies of everything I sent with the original petition, and because it cost so much to send it I was thinking of omitting some evidence.. and by reading these posts it appears that is a bad idea. Thank you so much for your input and good advice!

Excuse me for being stupid, but what did she mean by romantic? Is that really a question that is asked? Mercy!

Perhaps she meant when did he start telling you he loves you or talking about getting engaged/married. She probably wanted to get a feel for how fast he went with this relationship. According to the timeline in your signature, it didn't take him very long to talk about marriage. Did the CO know this?

I have wondered the correct answer to this question too... it could either mean...

1. When did we start having 'relations'?

2. When did we start having an attraction to each other?

3. When did we start to think that we liked each other?

4. When did we first say we loved each other?

5. (OR) When did my fiance write a note asking if I would be his girlfriend.. check yes [ ] or no [ ] lolol

Not sure how to answer that one either!

I really think the options are unlimited on this question. But it was asked several times. And when he tried to ask her about it, she just say that is not what I asked. So we will see what happens. I would diffently have the other men that get interviewed that this is a possible question and have them ask in what reguards they are asking. The lady did not clearify when he asked. But I think i would rather have them say i can not answer that till i understand that better then trying to answer it. It is obvious it is a trick question, since she would not go into detail.
