Call the embassy or email them. There is alink in the embassy website of packet 3. Look at it.

The forms that require downloading and filling in are:

DS-230-I Part I

DS-156 x2 (Fill out online to generate barcode http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/...electronic.html - Do not sign) (Not necessary for CR1/IR1)

DS-156K x2(Do not sign)(Not necessary for CR1/IR1)

DS-157 x2 (Not necessary for CR1/IR1)

There are some questions on the electronic form that are quire confusing.

Do you plan to work in USA, if yes provide the company details.

Well I want to work, but I need to wait for my EAD and then look for work. So what do I say yes or no?

Just write No employment yet.

EAD that is the problem with K3 you cant do NOTHING till EAD, no drivers license, no social security number , no work, no nothing. K3 is NOT worth it.

The "do you plan to work" question is easy. I assume in your case the answer is yes. As for company details, you could put "unknown" or "undecided"

You can get SSN, when applying fir it you provide evidence that its not for work purposes yet. Like if you wanted to apply for bank account, you can supply forms as evidence. You can also say you are waiting for EAD

Also, once I have paid the AOS fee and IV fee, when will NVC request for my original documents, or will I still need to take with me to the interview?

As I stated in your cr-1 post on this same question, when you submit the DS230 to NVC, you will submit your original documents to NVC

hindocha, what visa are you trying to get?, the K3 or the CR1???

Cause if your chasing the K3 as you've stated all along you want cause its "faster" then dont do anything at NVC for the CR1.

I am now going for both Visa, whichever gets to the Interview stage the quickest I will proceed with. CR-1 the NVC will ask for original documents. What I'm asking is that if I send NVC original documents and if I get my K3 interview, when the I130 is still with NVC, how will I get my documents across?
