Inorder to calm my nerves and my anxiety I have somehow convinced myself that i will hear from them by March 14th...(why that date i dont know).....and not before that.....

That way i wont be logging into the USCIS site 14 times a day and checking my status coz honestly I am tired of seeing the words INITIAL REVIEW.

But then that gives them about 45 days to send me RFE!!!!!..so then again Im anxiety ridden....

When will this end!!! :blink:

Thanks everyone. We are really excited about it! When they hiked all the fees up a few years ago, I wasnt expecting anything from it. But based on some of the fast processing we have seen, it looks like they are at least making an effort to process things in a timelier fashion at both VSC and CSC.

Aug 31, 2007: Biometrics Appointment

Sep 1, 2007: Received NOA1 (Dated Aug 29)

Nov 25, 2007: Received notice for interview in Baltimore, MD (No touches, nothing online to date)

Jan 22, 2008: Interview in Baltimore, MD. Went well.

Jan 29, 2008: Can finally track I-130 online. Approved.

Jan 31, 2008: Email I-485 "Card production ordered"

Feb 5, 2008: Another email I-485 "Card production ordered"

Feb 7, 2008: Received I-130 approval and I-485 "Welcome to America Letter" in snail mail

Feb 7, 2008: Email I-485 "Approval notice mailed"

Feb 9, 2008: GC in hand....... (Done with USCIS for a few months) YAYY!!!!!!

Oct 22, 2009: Process starts again. Going to mail I-751 to VSC

Jan 26, 2010: Notice of Approval and Card Production for 10-year GC

Feb 3, 2010: 10-Year GC Received

Oh I understand, but when you see that you are on the border and I am just one day earlier than all the approved, you just realize they are sniffing around your application...

So your comment made me go and run a little bit analysis on the VSC October filers.

I sorted the data by NOA1 dates, and I took out the I-751 date since this has nothing to do with USCIS:

Just a quick comment: all the filers at the beginning of the month are not treated fairly. Why the end of the month starts receiving approvals?

I'm sorry - I thought that looked different but I didn't look into it further. I wrote a quick script that will convert the table in VJ to a file that would be read in excel so it looks like I have a bug.

This is taking too long. December CSC filers are being approved. I sent a letter and authorization form to my congressman and appealed for help in figuring out why my case is always delayed - and why this last leg is taking so long. Let's hope he finds out someone just misplaced my file.

Well - from previous months, a few people get approved at the end of the month, then they start approving randomly starting with the beginning of the month, so I am guessing 1 or 2 more weeks before I hear from them... so they are at least being consistent with their behavior. The only thing is they have not been approving people lately. There is some discontinuity in their processing. Frustrating! I really feel for the August and September people... I can't imaging their frustration!
