Hello, Everyone. It's great to see that approvals are moving along quite well. I was hoping that mine would come out right around this time, having taken my biometrics Nov 17. Anyway, we arrived two days ago from an overseas trip only to find out that I was due again for Biometrics today Dec 16 (surprise! what a close call). The NOA stated that "FBI was unable to process fingerprint card."
While I was out of the country I kept checking the status online but I never got an update, the last "touch" on my case was the original biometrics appointment. I suppose they don't update retaking of bio online? Also, since we will be out of the country early next year, I'm getting paranoid of getting an RFE and not knowing about it-- if I were to look up the status online. In any case, I will have someone look into my mail then, but does anyone know if RFE shows up online?

It is very hard to tell with a system that behaves very different than claimed. Theoretically, it should show but I am not sure if it does. In addition, there are many cases that they have received snail mail before an online notification.

In general whenyou are traveling, the best suggestion is you find a good and dear friend, neighbor, or relative that will take on the task of checking your mail and contact you when there is mail from USCIS. The other solution in my opinion which is a 100% error proof is not to plan any trips around the time you are applying or waiting (just like I am doing now) - I did all my travel before applying and now I can sit and wait.

That was a close call that you got here two days before your bio.

It looks like your file is being processed now since the bio is requested again - so you should hear soon from them.
