Biometrics went smoothly yesterday. Glad that step is done! :D Now just waiting - here's to hoping the only next thing is the greencard.

Btw - we can't get any updates online with the number from the Biometrics Appointment Letter.

Any tips on what we should do? It asks for the receipt number, which we type in, and there's nothing. zero, zilch.

*10/6/09 - sent I-751, priority mail and signature upon receipt....biting nails (when will NOA arrive?)

*10/8/09 - packet received at USCIS 10:22am

*11/5/09 - biometrics

*11/19/09 - email from USCIS stating approval!!!!!!

11/27/09 - Green card arrived in mail! wow, it's *over*!

3/15/12 - sent N-400 packet

3/21/12 - packet received at USCIS

5/8/12 - biometrics

6/14/12 - Interview Date!

6/14/2012 - Approved! Oath Ceremony completed!

The number in my biometrics letter (ASC Appointment letter) is the one I use to check status online and even on phone..

I got my NOA1 today dated Oct 30 but disappointed because my name is wrong. They interchange my RI to IR. I need to call UsCIS about it on Monday. Just wonder how to get hold of a real person by then.

I never knew when they cashed it because I did not track the check to see if it was cashed. But it should take a week or no more than 10 days. I've sent it on 20 and I got the NOA1 on 30. Did you track the package or did you get a receipt that the package was received by USCIS? I've used the online tracking just to make sure it made it safe.

I might be getting a bit worried too early, but I have received my NOA1 but not my biometrics notice. I am worried that the longer it takes, the later my appaointment will be. This is a problem since I am effectively going to be out of the country from December 26th onward for more than a month. If it still does not show up in the next day or two, is there anything I can do (perhaps an Infopass etc?) Thanks!

based on your timeline, I believe you should get something shortly.

Does anyone actually leave the country while being on the "extended" date?

My GC expires in the second week of december and I would like to travel abroad for Xmas.

Congratulations for your biometrics done.Mine will be on the 20th.

I read somewhere that you need to fill out forms. My questions are. What kind of form do I need to fill out?

Is it printable online or will they provide it the same day?

Biometrics went smoothly yesterday. Glad that step is done! :D Now just waiting - here's to hoping the only next thing is the greencard.

Btw - we can't get any updates online with the number from the Biometrics Appointment Letter.

Any tips on what we should do? It asks for the receipt number, which we type in, and there's nothing. zero, zilch.

I'd say wait till you receive your Bio letter... see if it's also mispelled. If it is, then have it corrected on your Bio appointment. They will update your file on that day and will have you check if everything's correct. :thumbs:
